Vista isnt slow. If your computer requirements are compatible to it then is dont think you will get problem. To speed up vista use ccleaner and use antivirus consuming less ram. I will prefer to use avast  as antivirus.  for copying speed use tera copy. Install windows vista sp1 as it is faster than previous version.. If yiu like my solution please rate  me..     Thanks in advanced

The slowness of Vista depends on the components that you have for the computer. Did you buy your computer with Win Vista installed? If you upgraded your computer from XP to Vista, you have to make sure that it is covered by the system requirements of Vista.

If you have a brand new computer with Vista installed in it, then there could be a little glitch on the program. I've used different kinds of Vista (Home Premium, Vista Business and Vista Ultimate) but none of them worked slow. If that's a brand new computer, I would suggest to contact the manufacturer or the reseller.

Have a great day!

Can i'm going in pc game for vista

1. PC games are better supported by Windows XP than Vista.
2. IGI is a large game and and may sometimes play very slow on vista.
3. This is because the game eats up a large amount of your RAM during gaming which slows down background windows processes.

4.However, the better way to play IGI on Vista is to install a NVIDIA Graphics Card - GeForce 8600GT - 256 MB / 512 MB on your computer.

Happy gaming! :)

VAIO VGN-A190 works great with XP, but is very slow with VISTA! The CPU is 100% utilized with VISTA every time there is a disk access or screen update (unsure which one)!

The reason is your machine is too slow for VISTA. Your machine need better vidio hardware and more ram.

Vista is more graphic intensive.

Slow

I would clear your cache on your computer. Also would run Disk Cleanup & Defragment. It really depends on what OS your running because Vista can slow it down running on 2 GB RAM because thats the Minimum and the best would be 4 GB. I'm running 2 GB and it does run slow at times so thats why I use classic theme instead of Vista Aero. Also, for it being slow could be spyware or a virus. Thanks, GaComputerGuy

Missing Vista home basic product number

Acer gives you the option to create your own cd's. Click the start button & go to all programs. Look through the programs installed. Someting like DVD pro. or nero. There is a program in there so you can creat your own set of restore cd's. The reason your PC is so slow is because Acer loaded the system up with a ton a junk you'll never use. (Can always return it). I would befor the warranty runs out.........

Good Luck!

Hitachi 500 mb disk drive under Vista (Business)

to work with vista you must be having the minimum system requirements of 512 mb ram otherwise you will b experience slow...

if you have 512 mb ram or more than that then may be it s operating system problem just try reinstalling vista again....
and the drive in which the os lies may be in ntfs file system format ... so it is slow.....

Coping files is very slow

Maybe you haven't installed your USB drivers.
Right click on my Computer > Manage
Go to Device Manager
Do you see any Triangular yellow colored warning signs in there?
If there are and they are in the USB section, that is the reason for the slow transfers.
