SOURCE: either the thermal fuse or the ignitor on my kenmore elite gas dr

Remove the lower front cover - it has spring-loaded keepers that can be gently pryed and the panel should either hinge down or pop off. The thermal fuse and ignitor are behind this panel.

SOURCE: need to disassemble a kenmore elite oasis dryer

#
1

Disconnect your Kenmore Oasis washing machine from its power source. Make sure that your washer is unplugged before beginning to disassemble it.
#
2

Remove the screws that hold the control console to the top of your Oasis washer. In some Kenmore Oasis models, the two screws may be covered by plastic end caps. After removing the screws, set them aside until you are ready to replace them.
#
3

Flip the console up, back and out of the way.
4

Locate the cabinet clips on the top of your Kenmore Oasis washer. These clips are located toward the back of the washer top and would be hidden by the console if it were not currently flipped up.
#
5

Slide your screwdriver underneath the metal cabinet clips. Wiggle the screwdriver back and forth to gently pry the cabinet clips free.
#
6

Disconnect the group of colored wires that plug into the top of the washer from the control console. These wires control the lid switch on your Kenmore washing machine. To disconnect, grasp the white plastic clip and pull gently.
#
7

Remove the washing machine cabinet. Tilt the cabinet towards you, and then lift the entire cabinet up and off of its platform.

Where is the ignitor or thermal fuse of my kenmore elite Oasis Gas dyer Model 110.7705 located?

You listed an incomplete model but I think the second half of this pertains to your appliance:

You will have to remove the back panel to access this part. Be sure that you unplug the machine before starting. Once the back panel has been taken off and placed aside the thermal switch will be located on the left lower side near the blower housing . It will be thin and long and located near the cycling thermostat that has for prongs on it. On certain machines, the thermal fuse is located in the front. To access this you must remove the kickplate, which can be done by pushing the clips, one on each side jsut above the top of the kickplate, in between the top and abottom portion. The part numbers are the same for either style dryer. To test this part you can either take the wires off it and tie them together then plug the machine back in and see if it heats, or you can use amultimeter and check to see if there is continuity, if there is its good, if not, bad. The thermal fuse will usually be white, and if located in the back, be thin and long with two wires on it, left and right. If in the bottom front, it will be front center on the exhaust duct.

Check the thermal fuse. You can temporarily bypass it by hooking its two wires together then see if it heats.

Common to find loose connection on control panel. Unplug machine access control panel area and squeeze the connectors slightly to inside good contact. If not then c. Panel is shot.

Kenmore elite, model 110 60952990,stopped working after I tried to dry a pair of sneekers. It doesn't do anything when the power butten is pushed. Thank you.

The thermal fuse (part number 3390719) is blown causing the motor not to run. This thermal fuse is located on the blower housing beside the thermistor (part number 8577274) and it is wired in series with the motor thereby cutting power to the motor when it fails. The failure of the thermal fuse is due the failed thermistor; these requires both the thermal fuse and the thermistor to be replace.

Access to the thermal fuse and the thermistor for replacement or testing requires the removal of the lower front access panel which is secured to the front panel by two retaining clips positioned about three inches away from the sides. Pry the clips to release it and remove the lower front access panel. The thermal fuse and the thermistor can now be accessed.

Using a volt-ohmmeter, check the continuity of the thermal fuse which is to the left of the thermistor. Replace the thermal fuse if it reads open together with the thermistor.

Remove the mounting screws and mount the new parts in place. Disconnect the wires from the old failed parts and connect it to the corresponding component. Reinstall the lower front access panel back into position.

Dryer won't stay on.

tc7059d4.jpg9729365.jpg3403fe5.jpgThe wiring diagram for your dryer is shown in the first image below. A thermal fuse is normally in the circuit to the igniter on many gas dryers. I recommend checking this fuse. On dryer model 11073032102, you can access this fuse by _unplugging the dryer, shutting off the gas supply,_ and removing the bottom front service panel as shown in the second image below. On some Kenmore dryers, you have to remove the back panel to access the thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is located on the blower housing . The third image shows the location and replacement procedure. To test the thermal fuse, remove at least one wire (with the dryer still unplugged) and measure the resistance across the leads of the fuse with a volt/ohm meter. You should measure near zero ohms (continuity). If you measure infinite resistance (open), then the thermal fuse is blown and will need to be replaced.NOTE: If the thermal fuse is blown, check the venting for your dryer. Restricted exhaust venting can cause the thermal fuse to blow.

thank You Huuum
