Frigidaire Electric Range ES200/300 Controls, Self-Cleaning Oven with Ceramic Cocktop, Model number FEFL74ASC. We were using the oven at 400 degrees and looked in oven and broiler was on, broiler not selected and indicator light not on. Broiler would not shut off. Turn of circuit breaker, When I turned circuit breaker back on, broiler still on without being selected.

Probably. There is often a key sequence that will enable a calibration mode. We need the full model number to find the tech info, or you can probably find it in the tech sheet which is normally taped on behind the control panel.

It would be wise to not use the self clean mode. Many horror storys of controls costing hundreds of dollars to replace come to mind. The delicate electronics cannot stand the 900 degree 3 hour endurance of this. Why not get some green flavored easy off oven cleaner instead and save a lot of money. They have a new and improved easy off citrus based product that is deemed green and mean.

What is your model number and I can look up the part and tell you what they cost so you can call some appliance stores for comparison

According to the manufacturer's website you should only need to Press and hold the "Lock" key for 5 seconds. A single tone will sound and the "Loc" will disappear off the display.
