Hi, depending on the sample rate of the mp3s(192), one minute equals about 1 MB, so that the player can hold up to 2 hours of music, considering one track is five minutes long, this will amount up to 24 songs

SOURCE: CRAIG mp3 player

i just bought-june 14, 2008. The Minidisc provided in the purchase was sandwhiched in the packing, I almost threw it away before finding it.

The Minidisc when inserted in my disc driver does not come on automatically and does nothing when I open it manually. I tried installing the software on it and using it, but it continues to do nothing.

When I connected the MP3 player to my laptop with the USB Cable provided, a message appeared "USB Device not recognized".

I have a Craig mp4 player and when I try to sync music onto it some of the songs say " Did not fit on device" Why?? And what can I do to change it?

This is because the songs literally cannot fit onto your player. Songs, like all files, take up a certain amount of digital space. Craig MP4 players generally are small in space, usually ranging from 1-4GBs, which will not get you far if you have a lot of songs. The only real solutions for this without buying a new MP3/MP4 player is to be more selective with the songs you put onto it. There is not a way to change the amount of songs something can hold, so you just have to put less onto it. Also, If you put videos onto it, get rid of those first because videos take up way more space than songs.

If you want more space, I would recommend a 8GB or 16GB music player, those are satisfactory for most people with a lot of songs.

Also, for now you could try downgrading the audio quality, which will reduce the file size, effectively making more songs able to fit onto your player, but I would not recommend this because it does create a noticeably worse audio quality.

E260 player won't read some songs

Check if the size of the disk is actually what they say it is because I have seen where 1gb was written on an mp3 player whereas it was stretched, e.g, 128mb might be stretched to 1gb, so whenever you put songs that exceeds 128mb the other ones will not play at all. It has happened to me several times.

Craig mp3 1gb player cmp580d

this is a no brainer.....first thing I did was set up (formatted) the player with the disk drive utility supplied with mp3 player. Next you add in your MP3 songs. Turn on your player and with the mode button...go to MSC it will be highlighted black....then press in mode button to enter folder. Songs shouls be seen....and press power button to start.

My craig 256mb mp3 player wont work.

Quite frankly, my Craig MP4 is new and broken. It is a piece of garbage...Just get rid of it, don't put any more money into it. I just bought a used Creative Zen for $65 on Amazon....It is 500% bertter and there is no disappointment.

Looking for a Downloadable owners manuel

I wasn't able to find a owner's manual, but I might be able to answer the 3 questions you posted anyways ^^ If it says it's a 128MB mp3 player, then the answer to "How much memory is built into it?" would be "128MB", right..? If songs average about 5MB each, that's enough for about 25 songs? DSP stands for Digital Signal Processing.. it should be able to change the sound of the song a little bit (like boosting/lowering the bass or treble, or making it sound better on different kinds of speakers). Try hitting it and see if the song sounds slightly different. As for turning it off.. try the same way you turned it on? There should be a power button.. or maybe try holding down the stop or pause button for a few seconds, see what that does.
