I need to program our office # to an outside cell phone.

We have a main # listed in the yellow pages for emergency calls. However, there is no one at the office today (Labor Day). How can i program the office # to ring my cell phone?

two kinds ...

kind one - from your telephone company - press *### or what ever your telephone company uses

kind two from your PBS what ever your PBS system asks for for call forwarding.

This information whould be available from your administrator - if you are the administrator ... call the company that installed your PBS for the number.

It is possible that the outside lines have been blocked in the programming of the Samsung IDCS 28D system. You can try the following steps to unblock the outside lines:
  1. On a phone that is working, press the TRANSFER button and dial 200.
  2. Enter your system password. If you don't know your system password, you may need to contact your phone system administrator or service provider.
  3. Press 713 for "Line Block Release".
  4. Press the button for the line that is blocked (in your case, all 4 lines).
  5. The display should show "RELEASE OK" for each line that is unblocked.
  6. Hang up the phone.
If this doesn't work, it is possible that the phone system may need further troubleshooting or programming by a technician.

How do I access my voicemail box from outside of the office?
There are 3 ways to access your voicemail:
1. Call into the main office and have the receptionist transfer you to your mailbox.
2. Call into the main office and if you hear an Auto Attendant, select #. Then, enter your mailbox number and password.
3. If you know what number your voicemail is tied to, then you just call the number, select #, and then enter your mailbox number and password.

If none of these options work, then whomever programmed it may have turned it off and you may need to contact the tech.

    Yes, they are programmable (configurable) in several ways. You can silence them in the Options; you can create a Profiles and switch between them (i.e., one for meetings, one for inside the office, one for outside in noisy areas). You can also silence your phone and force all calls to Voicemail on a schedule. For example, you might not want to get awoken by your phone while you sleep or it is a business-only phone and you don't want to be disturbed outside of busines hours. These settings are easy to find on the main menu, Options and Advanced Options.

    Forwarding to an outside line..?
    Call forward off net needs to be allowed in Class of Service. If it is not than it must be programmed in. If it is than use your forward all code enter 9 and the full phone number.
