Infinity PS-10 quit working

My new PS-10 sub quit working after 30 minutes. I use the high level inputs, my amp doesn't have a sub output. I wasn't working the sub hard -- I was watching a DVD movie. I tried the sub with a newer JVC DTS amp, the sub doesn't work. Any idea what may have happened.

My Infinity HTS-10SUB lost its sound. Other speakers are working fine. LED light is OFF. I suspect a blown fuse. How can I be sure this is the problem or I have another failure Bob

I think the electronics have a 3 years warranty and the drivers have a five years warranty for this product, maybe you can have it replaced. Maybe the auto on/off signal detector is the culprit.

On my Sansui sw-100 sub, I have 2 speakers connected to the high level output, that dont operate

Yes in order to have audio going to your spare speakers from the sub .You would need to use the hi level inputs comming from the reciever outputs connected to these hi level inputs..The sub will then crossover the audio to their proper outputs..Hope this helps you

How do i connect subwoofer (canton movie 125 mx) to amplifier(onkyo txnr609)? there is one subwoofer output on the amplifier with either L & R(mono) high level input or L & R(mono) low level input...

Connect front the sub out (single) on the amp to one of the rca inputs on the sub, This will work reasonably well but to make the most from the sub buy a 2 rca to 1 rca cable and use it to connect both rca inputs on the sub to the single output on the amp

Apart from the "line input"

input and output are for low level ( as with RCA cable connectors) ,, the speaker connections are for high input, (red and black connections. ) you can run the mains to the (rca) from your receiver to run the sub woofers, and from that use the speaker wire connections, to go to the left right speakers, (out only not in) this is done if you want to run the subs and the Rt/lt/ speakers , eliminating the speaker connections coming from the receiver. which you could use for 2 additional speakers if you want

How do u hook up the infinity entra sub it has speaker level(input and output) that look like these red and black spots r for spearker wires and then line level input so I connect my music to the rca plugs...

Maybe if you described the setup with exact model numbers for everything involved we might be able to answer with specifics.

You could poke around her for the Entra Manual for YOUR model.

What they do NOT explicitly tell you is that the amp in the sub is not for your other speakers running off it's Speaker Level outputs. They're just there as a pass-through if you use Speaker Level from your own amp.

Line Level (RCA) IN to the sub will NOT pass anything out those Speaker level outputs.

How do i use the high level speaker inputs on this snell QBx sub.

Most likely, you simply connect the speaker wires to the high level inputs, along with the cable from your amp.

Given that Snell's are high-end speakers, I would recommend that you contact their tech support for your question. They have a specific email address for technical questions on their Support Page.

Which is the best way to hook up a Subwoofer?

Last two questions first - YES, use an RCA splitter to share sub line level out between two subs and use one at the subwoofer end to share that line with both inputs on the sub.

Either attachment scheme you describe would work.

Not being a big fan of conversion/deconversion for no real purpose, I would avoid stepping the high-level input down to line level for use by the sub's internal amp, run RCA to the sub(s) and keep them physically and electrically independent of anything else unless cable routing is facilitated somehow by daisy-chaining other speakers from the sub(s).

HELLOOOOOO HOW CAN CONECT MY SUBWOOFER

Your problem is quite simple. The low input is for feeding a lead straight from the output of your receiver IE sub out and the high input is for connecting the sub directly to your speaker output where the alternative is not possible. Hope this helps

Infinity Bass link keeps cutting out.

Tapping into front or rear gets high level signal 3 plus volts at low impedance which is totally unsuitable for the sub's line level input which is more like 300millivolts > A competent tech could make up an attenuator patch or just take it to a professional car installer before you do more damage

Infinity ps-10 powers up but no boom

Try hooking up a different signal input to your powered sub, another stereo or even a dvd players audio output to the sub will work for a test. Just make sure the subs gain is down before starting. If it still not producing sound, the subwoofers amplifier is bad. I hope this helps.

Infinity PS-12 Subwoofer clicking in and out of standby

Hello,
Unfortunately your subwoofers amplifier circuitry will need to be repaired ,the amplifier is bad and kicking in to protect mode. This mode is designed for safety of the unit and user and sub should not be operated until repaired as it may incur more damage to the components. I hope this helps.
