That indicates that it could have a power supply problem or a back light power problem. Some part is working when cold then failing when warm. You need to check to see if it is just the back light. With it on and after it goes dark see if you can make out a ghost like image on the screen. You will have to get quite close and near the edges to start to see any images. If you can see this and it is a moving image ie the tv i still on but just no bright display then it is your back light and most likely the back light power board. If it is actually shutting right off then it is your main power.
If it is the back light and the board is a separate piece on that model the part should be $40 to about $75 If it is the main power then you could be looking at $150 ish for a separate power module but if it is on the main board then you are talking about more money than a new tv. Both would be covered under warranty so check to see if you are covered. You can get the parts from any of several on line stores. Just do a search for Polaroid TLX repair parts. These should be cheaper than getting them from a dealer or repair depot if they are available.
open the black plastic panel and the aluminum panel which has 3 screws each in the back of the tv. look at bottom left corner of top board. to the right of the red led light, there's these four white small switches. turn the bottom two switches to "on" and tv should be working. It's very simple to fix the problem to everyone. My tv capacitor was not the problem. I hope this will help everybody.
Make sure all the connections are correct, a "blue" screen indicates no-signal, black indicates some type of signal is getting to the tv. good luck Julio [email protected]
