SOURCE: Have Sony VAIO VGN

You may have to manually toggle the video output of the laptop to the external video circuit. This isually done using the Fn + F7 key combination. This toggles the display from the integrated lcd to the external to both to just the external etc.

Rgb connection stopped working on laptop

Instructions
    • 1 Decide if you want to watch the television on your computer or use the TV as a larger monitor. If you want to view the contents of the TV on your laptop, you need a video card connected to to the computer. These cards can either be inserted through the express PCI card slot on the laptop, or via USB cable. Make sure the video tuner card supports component video.
    • 2 Connect the DVI-to-component cable into the DVI port if you want to use the TV as a large monitor for your laptop. However, if you have a VGA port, plug the VGA-to-component cable into the VGA port.
    • 3 Plug the RGB component cables into the component side of the DVI- or VGA-to-component cable. If you want to watch the TV on your computer, insert the RGB cables into the TV video card.
    • 4 Plug the other end of the RGB component cables into the TV. If you are using the TV as a monitor, plug the cables into the "Component In" ports. However, if you are sending the TV signal to the computer, plug the cables into the "Component Out" port (the other end of the DVI- or VGA-to-component cable that you connected to your computer in Step 2).
    • 5 Power on the TV. If you are using the TV as a computer monitor, press the "Video" button until "Component Video" appears on the screen. If you are watching TV on your computer, launch the television viewing software that came with the TV tuner card. You can now see the contents of the TV on your computer.

My pc wont recognise my tv as a second monitor - conected with VGA cable

the video card you used have a capability for dual monitor..so 1st thing that you need to do is to make sure that the computer recognized the 2nd monitor and activate dual monitor capability on the nvidia panel..after that on your tv select the proper source(like VGA, HDMI1 etc.) on which you'll be able to see the the video from the computer to your TV..

I Want to Play TV programs Through laptop to TV

Most late model TV can be use as a Computer monitor either via a Computer VGA input of via a HDMA input (providing your laptop has HDMA support and output). You will need the appropriate VGA or HDMA cable to connect your Laptop to your TV acting as a monitor.

How can i use my tv as a computer monitor?

Most newer televisions come with a VGA connection on the back which is the same as for any normal computer monitor. If your tv has this just connect via the vga lead and then select the valid port on your tv. If you wish to use sound as well then as audio lead must be used from the speaker output to the red and white audio inputs on the tv.
If you don't have a vga port on the tv then you maybe able to get an interface that will go convert to something that will plug in to your tv.
I hope this helps.

I want to connect my Sony Vaio VGN-NR120E to my TV Samsung. But I have no idea how to do that. Could you give me advice ...

Hi,
Your Sony vaio does not have any TV-out port to output the display on any analog TV. You can use your VGA (by using VGA cable) port to output your laptop on LCD / Plasma / LED TV (with a VGA port also)). If you still want to project to analog TV via the VGA port, you need to find a VGA to RGB adaptor. But bare in mind, it's hard to find one.
VGA port is like the port on computer monitor. RBG consist of three colored port.
Good luck ;)

I have connected my PC to Panasonic TH-L24C20D, I want audio output via TV speakers. what to do?

If your computer has an HDMI output, the audio is already connected to the TV in digital format via its' HDMI input. However, if you are using the VGA from the computer, you will need a separate audio system to output the audio from your computer. The VGA is an analog video only. Your TV does not have an audio input so therefore you need a speaker system from the computer.
