Unable to Import CD to MP3 Player

I am trying to import a CD to my wife's Jet S2002 MP3 Player. I am using Yahoo Music Jukebox. It will let me add it to the My Music folder, but not to the device. It is referencing licencing issues, but we own the CD. Is there a solution? Should I use something besides Yahoo Jukebox, which is no linger supported by Yahoo?

I can't use my itunes account to add or subtract my music, since adding the gogearVibe. had the same set up approx. 5 months ago with a different unit that worked fine. What happened?

You need to use the Philips songbird software to transfer itunes music into your MP3 player. If your player doesn't use Songbird, you need to first convert it into MP3 format under itunes then transfer using windows media player 11 or higher.

Here is how ot import files from itunes to Songbird:
  1. On the computer, launch the Songbird program. Select Tools > Options
  2. On the Songbird toolbar, select the Media Importer tab, then iTunes Import/Export.
  3. Verify your library location and options. Select Import Library.
  4. The software imports the iTunes library into Songbird.
Once this is done, your itunes music will show in Songbird library. You can now transfer it to your GoGear player. Here is how to transfer files from songbird to your MP3 player:
  1. Click "File" in the toolbar and select "Import Media". Choose the folder that stored your media files.
  2. Select the media files that you want to transfer and then Right Click to display a drop list (You can press and hold the Ctrl button on the keyboard to select more than one file).
  3. Select "Add to Device" and "(Your player model)".
Or you can to go to Songbird library and then drag and drop the files to your MP3 player's icon on the Songbird software.

Hope this helps..

Downloading music.

hi there gurdy!
Sony mp3 players are great mp3 players, except with one problem. You need to get Sonicstage, the mother program for their mp3 player, to put music in their. So, one way is to go here first:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=NWE405
download the Sonicstage program, and install it into your computer. (WARNING! First install the Sonicstage, then connect the mp3 player to the computer, otherwise it might not work.)
When you are done installing it, and you plugged the mp3 player, open up Sonicstage. It should open up with a screen saying many things such as My Library, Transfer, Music...
From there, go to add music (top left corner button next to My Library, next to it) and three choices should come out, saying add files, add folder, or import CD. From there just add files from your computer.

Then, click the Transfer button. There you should have a split screen, half My library half Transfer aka mp3 player space. Choose the songs you want to import and click the arrow pointing right (in the middle).
Give it a few minutes to download into the mp3 player.
After it is all done, either exit the program or just pull out the mp3 player and wha la music to your ears!

It's a nice mp3 player.

Hopefully this solution helped out.
Please contact or reply if you have anymore problems.

this is where you can read the manual and all the information about it.

Shuffle not taking music from a CD

One thing to remember is to make the songs mp3. Edit --> Preferences --> Advanced (tab) --> Importing (tab). Under Import Using make sure 'MP3 Encoder' is selected. If the music is already in your libary click click a song and click 'convert selection to mp3'. If the music is not in your libary simply import it and it will automaticly be in mp3 format.
