Troy Bilt pressure washer model 020209 will not build pressure-have checked all screens and intake in pressure hose and garden hose from house to pump. water leaks at gun handle- took it apart and oiled piston- was ''grabby'' but now snappy but still leaks. Engine starts fine and runs fine. Please help.

Could also be crack/leak in HP pump. If it were left in cold weather without antifreeze, I'd check there first. Part + labor might warrant new washer if more than a couple years old.
Sorry.
check the non-return valves in the pump block. if these are damaged or dirty you pressure will be greatly reduced. they are located behind the 3 lage brass hexagonal caps.
I have a Troybilt Model 2200 PSI Pressure Washer in which I have used only 2 times in the past 2 1/2 years. Went to use it this past weekend and the pump in not working. Water shoots out of the side. I bought this brand and model as I thought Troybilt was suppose to be so good. Went back to where it was purchased and had no success but to say I could buy another pump or take it in to be repaired. I believe that this power washer should be replaced at no charge. 2 uses does not constitute a few hundreds of dollars.
Have you to heard anything concerning pump problems on this particular model? Thanks for any advice. .
you are going to need a pump seal kit or they may call it a rebuild kit but this sort of thing happens often and you should not have any trouble getting the parts you need with the kit should come a exploded view diagram but request one just to make sure be careful when putting it back together if gyou damage any of the brass or neoprene parts you will be putting it together for nothing lay out your parts on a clean towel keep all dirt and grime away and clean your pump housing really good before you put the new parts in and i mean clean enough to eat off of if you do all of these things your rebuild will probably last longer the the original good luck and get back with me if you need help with the rebuild
