it's like when your name is John but your user name is superman, on some websites you don't have to reveal your real name to people just a fantasy name

Plug the router into the power socket and configure you own machine to obtain IP address automatically. Load up Internet explorer and type in http:/192168.xxx.xxx which is the local address of your router. You should then get a password screen. Enter default user name and password and it will take you to the configuration screen. The full IP address and user name and password are dependant on which model you have. See list below From there you need to read the instructions very carefully and match it with the information provided by your ISP.

Radio Shack has a spanish translation of the user's manual for download and some documents in English, with some information on the machine (Features, Power, Sources, Specifications and Operation).
In the Detailed Parts list they they list an Owner's Manual and suggest you call or contact your local Radio Shack to obtain it.

There is no way to obtain your username and password. Not an easy way anyways.

Your best bet is to reset the router, and reconfigure it. Good Luck.

If you are connecting through your wireless router, you should just let it auto obtain an ip address and auto obtain dns. Is DHCP on in your wireless router?
DNS is the ip address of a server that resolves names like www.something into an ip address. Your ISP usually gives you these numbers.

Have you tried changing your IP to 192.168.1.3 and see if that makes any difference

You'll need to register but you only need to enter first name, email address and password. A fake email address will work fine if you're worried about spam.
