Master volume control knob

The knob does not have a stop but keeps turning after it gets to "no sound".Same for maximum sound. Is this normal? If not, is there an easy way to fix it?

Thanks,

John P.

Wow, it is nice to see rotary controllers becoming more available on the markets these days. I hope that they can get the kinks worked out a little better. That is going to be really important in the long run.

Yes it uses a digital attenuator and the vol control is a rotary encoder only.

Sounds like you may have developed a bad spot in your timer. Easy enough to replace and you can probably get one fairly cheap on eBay. If it was the water level sensor, advancing the timer manually wouldn't work.

Continuous clicking from an igniter in the off position. I have to slightly turn the control knob towards the hi position to stop the clicking and for the light on the control knob to go off

sounds like it was turned a little past the stop point.
Pull two knobs off and examine the back side that slides onto the shaft.
Switch them and try again.
If the problem is on the same burner, the shaft may be turned past its normal stop position.
You can try turning it until it stops in the opposite direction and force it just a tiny bit more.
That was how I fixed mine.

Knobs are distorting with heat

It sounds like either a bad design or a leaking seal, the knobs are above the oven?If it is the door might not be sealing good allowing heat from the oven to escape upwards heating up the knobs. It is not normal.

BOSTON ACOUSTICS BA735 volume is LOWER than MAXIMUM LEVEL

OK, a few things here. First of all, what program are you using to listen to music? Some programs have an automatic volume leveling setting. If you're using Windows Media Player, it has one. Next, you should NEVER set any speaker/volume/amplifier knob to Maximum setting if you want to get any life out of your speakers. Speaker ratings are for consistent volume levels at a "clean" power level. When you turn any music source up past 80% you are pushing more distortion through the speakers that they cannot reproduce without self destructing. The human ear cannot hear this, and the volume gain is minimal. Next we'll talk about that your dealing with a combination of power levels compiling into an amplifier that may be taking in more than it can aptly amplify according to it's power multiplier scheme to increase the volume at the speaker level. If you've got everything maxed out, you're probably just pushing it all WAY too hard. All over exerted energy that is not being used productively will end up in generating heat and distortion. Those are your 2 biggest enemies when it comes to anything audio. Distortion tears voice coils and generates disruptive electrical currents, and heat destroys circuitry and components in amplifiers. The times where they jump up in volume, just look at that as borrowed time until they blow. If you want louder, get a better or more powerfully rated set, and still, NEVER turn it up past 80% if you want it to last.

Needing to take off old timer knob and replace with new one

We found this on another web site:
This was super easy. If you can screw and unscrew a nut from a bolt, its that easy.
The Knob assembaly comes as a whole. So once you remove the old knob (unscrew to the Left).

Then replace the new knob assy (screw to the Right) till its a snug fit. As you will see this knob is designed to be a clockwise rotation only - normal operation - sort of a self tightening screw.

DCS range igniter won't stop

Hey all ... I just had a repairman fix my DCS cooktop that was doing the same thing ... ignitor problem. He replaced it and it's good as new. (Cleaning also did NOT work for me.) It cost me $216 for the repair. If you can find the part, it's pretty easy to replace. Just take off the front knobs (be careful as there is a 'ring' inside the neck of the knob) and unscrew the front. You will need a special screwdriver - looks like a star - but just snip the plastic straps holding the original ignitor in place and put the new one on the same way as the old one. You should be good as new. REMEMBER TO TURN OFF THE BREAKER!!! I can't imagine it would take more than an hour (tops) 'cause it looked pretty easy.

Cooler wont cool below 48 degrees.

Keep a thermometer handy. (adjust temperature control knob accordingly)
Periodically monitor temperatures inside your cooler. (adjust as necessary)
Keep the refrigerator door closed as much as possible to avoid temperature fluctuations

The temperature of the refrigerator compartment is
controlled by adjusting/setting the thermostat control
knob, located on the ceiling of the refrigerator
cabinet.
To start the refrigerator, and achieve maximum
cooling quickly;
• Turn the temperature control knob (using a coin
or screwdriver) clockwise to the furthest
(maximum) setting on the darker blue section of
the graduated control dial.
• Allow the refrigerator to run at this setting for 3~4
hours.
• When maximum cooling is achieved, turn back
the temperature control knob setting to the 2:00
o'clock position on the graduated blue control
dial.
• Correct cooling temperature is a key factor to
consider in storing and dispensing draught beer.
• Optimum temperature for serving draught beer is
between 34ºF ~ 38ºF.(1ºC ~ 3ºC)
• To maintain temperatures ranging between
34ºF ~ 38ºF.(1ºC ~ 3ºC) We recommend the
thermostat knob be positioned at the "2:00
o'clock" setting on the graduated blue control dial.
• To turn off the refrigerator, (no cooling) rotate the
control knob to the "0" position.
