If it has an empty case in it you could slide your cleaning rod in from the muzzle and tap on it to see if this would help move the bolt back any. DON"T do this if it has a live shell in it ! hope this helps

Where can I find a custom rifle stock for my savage axis 308

Hello Vickie Bowlin,

On the internet... (even eBay... meh)

It would certainly depend on what kind of "CUSTOM"
you have in MIND... but there are some great smithy sites..!

If you interest is driven by the rifle kicking like a mule...

savagearms.com ... I love the beauty of wood... but they have a fairly comfortable "camouflaged" stock... (just UGLY).

There's even a "tactical" with a shock absorber...
(I'm just saying)

HOPE this helped.

I have a browning 30 06 serial number 52785 m70 was wondering the price

There are many Factors that go into valuing a Rifle, Condition, Usage, Scope, did I mention Condition? I just assisted my Uncle in selling 8 of his Rifles. He had 3 Bolt Action 30-06 and 1 Semi-Automatic. The Bolt Action are worth a little less than the Semi-Automatic. One Bolt Action was worth $125 due to wear and Camo Paint Scheme. The Best Bolt Action he sold for $475. The Semi-Automatic sold for $350, showed signs of wear and the scope was not the best...

HI I am looking for information about 308cal Auto-matic Semi and full auto-matic rifles like H&k has one.But I;am looking for a cheaper iprice.I;am looking for one that has a short 12" barrel like...

i would get a permit to carry a pistol, somthing like a .357 magnum or .480 ruger. if you are allready a pistol owner you could look into sumthing like a .460 or .500 smith and wesson. these are all good bear stoppers. somthing fully auto is illeagal unless you have purchased federal permits. good luck

OK this is what ya do.open the action and you will see the screws that hold the back part of the receiver in remove them.on the upper side the older model had a screw on the receiver end take that out.up on the for are there is one more on the bottom side remove that.now it will come out in one unit leave the leaver down and grab the front of the stock and pick up on the barrel as your sliding it forward.
