Hi, i have 2 televisions different makes both turn on to standby but wont turn on fully, the bush tv when i push programme button to turn on the red standby button flashes but nothing else.

Hi! Hope this will give hint... I understand some televisions nowadays are fully controlled using remote but there is always a standby power button for the television remote function. If the there is no power after turning on using the standby power button please check power cables, supplies and fuses. If the television has a standby power waiting the remote to act on but no response after pushing the remote's power button check the battery and its contact. Goodluck.

have you looked at power supply as you might have to change the caps on the power supply

Are you certain the replacement power supply is good? A defective main board or power supply can cause this problem.

some tv's always have standby light on, even iff you turn off by tv button. solution 1: with light on, press a number on remote. solution 2: with light on press stand-by button on remote. solution 3: with light on push the 'on' button on the tv set. solution 4: unplug tv set, wait a few seconds then plug back in, if no light then turn on tv using button on the set, and then channel number.

Check its degaussing posistor at the power supply regulator section.

If you unplug the power cord, let it sit for a minute and plug it back in, it should let you turn the tv on by the button at least once. Then you can at least get the remote linked up. Please reply back to your post if this resolved the issue. I would rather you try this first before going further.

TRY UNPLUGING SET FROM THE WALL FOR 1 MINUTE. PLUG SET BACK IN AND CHECK. IF PROBLEM PERSISTS TAKE IT TO A QUALFIED SERVICER. UNIT PROBABLY HAS A DEFECTIVE MAIN TOTAL ASSY.
