I have a belkin wireless usb adapter but cant connect to my network after downloading it on my new pc its asking for my password but I cant rember it . can I reset it
Your wireless router is prompting you for a password in order to log onto your network. If you do not remember your password, you can reset the routers' configuration by holding down the reset button on the back of the router, and you can then use the default user name and password to change the settings. HOWEVER, you will lose all of your network settings so if you have multiple devices connected via wireless, they will also have to be reset.
If you need help re-configuring your router, visit the router manufacturer's web page. There should be a tutorial to walk you through the process.
If you happen to have a Linksys wireless router, here is their page: http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-a-Linksys-Router

The password is not stored in the usb adapter. The password is for the wireless router with which you have connected your N150 wireless adapter. Please check with the router the password and then you will be able to connect to the network back again,
Open up PC, Plug it wireless network into a PCI slot, turn on PC, the network device will be recognized and ask for drivers, you insert the CD/DVD that came with it, or use the software you downloaded from Belkin web site and install the WiFi card.. Run the Belkin software and it is installed. reboot PC, put case side back on.
You need to make sure the new belkin adaptor has the same settings as the router you are using. If you set a password on your router then you need to set a password the same on your new adaptor.
The Belkin site has very specific instructions for installing this adapter in a pc with Vista. These instructions are at: http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&pid=F5D9050&aid=6112&scid=0 I would first unistall any Belkin Software that has already been installed, shut down the system completely and then restart. After you have fully restarted the system then follow the Belkin Site instructions EXACTLY. Any variation is apt to mean an unsuccessful install. Good Luck and have patience.
VErify to your installation documentation..how to install belkin router, with regard to the username and passwords ..guess it was found at the bottom of your belkin router.
Hi, sorry to hear you also having problems with the Belkin. I just bought exactly the same one and have just replaced it with a Netgear one as it didn`t work very well!
