I dropped my LG Shine flip and half the screen is black

I dropped my LG Shine flip version on the ground and now the top half of my inside screen is black. Everything still works fine but I can't read any texts. Does anyone know how to fix this or the cost of replacing a screen is?

To open it you have to remove the plastic screen cover with aknife or something and thare a screws underneath

If you have done this kind of repair before, you could look on eBay for a replacement screen and price will vary. If you don't know how to perform a repair of this magnitude, you;re better off and will come out cheaper just buying another phone. If living without text doesn't bother you, no loss.

your screen has broken and LCD also has broken that's why your half screen is working and half is black. you have to change your screen and then use your phone again like before

My LG Shine Flip phone turns on but all it shows is the LG symbol on the main screen, and it says Downloading... on the outside screen. Every once in awhile it turns on fully and the 2580 keys do not work,...

most of the filp models face this prob,, answering and function keys are 1 strip,display 2nd strip, # * 1234567890 3rd strip, so change the number strip for 2580 prob,,,, for downloading prob reset the phone with the default code1234 or 0000

Screen brightness, then disappearance.

Phone flex needs to be changed. As you open and close the flip phone, the flex worn-out gradually.

When you get it fixed, avoid opening the slide unnecessarily and also try as much as possible not to make your phone fall on the ground as this will damage the flex or even the screen.

humidity from food has gotten inside unit,open up unit as much as you feel comfortable with,use dessicant packs you find in new shoe boxes[or new electronics], put lg inside ziploc bag with dessicant packs to remove moisture,[wait 14hrs]

Friend, the LCD connections is broken especially the lcd interface or your LCD is broken and needs to be replace.thats the only problem no other parts 100% sure

LG Envy inside screen no longer works, did not drop or get wet, was using it fine then all of a sudden I opened it to text only to find a black screen, buttons still light up, but no display!

there is a small very delicate ribbon cable that connects the screen to the circuit board that has probally broken. it is a common problem on phones that flip like yours does.

Replaced the screen but there is no image coming up, just a lit up black screen.

if you could see any image from the broken lcd before changing it so your new lcd is not working or no installed right
and if not you may try the cable or the hard shock that broke your lcd effected the main board

Is it a flip flop type of phone or a slide type.?
You need to eplace the flex wire of that phone 'coz that's the
usual problem of all flip and slide type of phones
