Mitsubishi dlp does not get picture

I have a mitsubishi dlp tv model wd 52725. i replaced the lamp bulb about 2 months ago. when i hit the power on button the tv sound comes on but no picture. the tv will stay on for 2 minutes or so with no picture and then power off and the lamp button on the front of the tv turns orange. i have to hitthe reset button to try again. it does this over and over. every once in a while it get a picture, maybe after 8-10 tries of getting the orange lamp light and then resetting. the lamp is practically brand new so i cant see that being the problem. any help would be appreciated.

I have almost the same problem except sometimes the picture will come on and sometimes only audio. Hit the reset and everything returns to normal until a day or 2 later. I am on my 2nd lamp and it is only couple months old as well.......very coincidental

The red "lamp" light lit, so I replaced the lamp. The TV turns on, a low lighting appears on the screen, then goes out, and then the red "lamp" light comes back on.

I have a similar problem. Dark screen with sound and the power button illuminated. I opened the bulb compartment, looked at the bulb, and everything seemed fine. Put the bulb back in and the television worked. Turn the TV off, and came back later to the same problem. I thought that simply pulling the pull on the unit would reset it, however that was not the case. After resetting the power, unit did the same thing, dark screen with sound. Opened up the bulb compartment again , pulled the bulb, installed the bulb and everything worked fine. Looking for help!

Same problem here. lamp failed in less than 2 years... Tweeter was NO help and very short... replaced the lamp... works if I unplug and plug back in after a few minutes. If turned off, will not come on the next time. Plug for the cartridge and seating looks fine!?!?!?!?! Wish I never bought it.

I have the same problem. No picture on an 18 month old tv. I replaced the lamp and get the same thing, no picture and the light on under lamp. I have tried the reset button to no avail. I see where ctf1800 says the plug that connects underneath is not connecting right and that you have to seat it correctly, but am not sure where he means. Does he mean the plug underneath the TV, underneath the bulb, or somewhere else? Help please!

I see what seems to be a scratch on the bulb. Could this be causing the line through the picture?

I have a mitsubishi dlp tv model wd 60738 and when i turn it on the power button blinks for a second and then it stops but no picture and after while turns off

Most likely you need to replace the projection bulb. You can find them online. DLP sets are famous - or infamous - for burning out the bulbs/lamps.

Posted a short while ago but have more information Mitsubishi DLP WD 52725 - sound no picture - blinks 3 short times and 1 long time

have you checked the lamp? with those models they will power up and if the lamp is bad you can hear audio until the tv shuts off. the lamp is located in the front behind the speaker grill assembly. if the "status" light is blinking then you are having a fan failure if the "lamp" light is on then check the lamp like i listed above.

No display or sound on Mitsubishi WD-52725

This is a DLP They have issues with the color wheel, the winding sound could be from this color wheel. If it stops spinning it will cause the tv to shut down. DLP is a mechanical display process. If you are handy and understand electronics you could replace this yourself. If not i would let a tech handle it.

Buzzing noise from Mitsubishi DLP WD-52327 after replacing bulb

Did your replace lamp come on the screen or did you lose picture? Just because the LED indicator suggest replace lamp it doesn't mean it needs it. If your pix was dull or loss of brightness then replace it, if not then just reset your lamp timer, check your owners manual for instructions.
