My ge artica side by side fridge is not making ice. It stop working, then it made about 3 cubes the other day and then stop making ice again. The water dispenser is working.
I have had to replace all the orange wires that go from the control panel in the door to the electrical junction box in the hinge on top of the fridge freezer. I am disapointed that the wires have broken so soon on this 3 year old fisher and paykel fridge freezer. I think it is a design fault as the wires all move in the top hinge ever time the door is opened. I think that F&P should use rubber coated not plastic coated wire they should use wire that is more flexible.
Our is broken as well. Water dispenser works.....
Check to make sure the arm or what ever controls the cubes isn't stuck closed or the inlet to the maker isnt' got some restriction
SOURCE: ice maker not working
check your owners manual for a water filter, make sure trip arm isn't stuck closed and not letting water in to freeze.

our ice maker has never produced enough ice and then it finally stopped making ice completely. It is a GE Artica side by side fridge.
We have the same problem. Water works, dispenser part works, if there was ice. There IS ice in the tray, it's just not processing out for the next batch....
mY ICE MAKER IS NOT WORKING EITHER. mY GE ARCTICA IS NOT QUITE 2 YEARS OLD. wHAT IS THE SOLUTION?
I have the same problem in my Eterna series. The fridge is 7 years old nd just topped making ice. I cleaned the ice bin and lowered the temperature in the freezer to no avail. Any advice?
Ice maker not working
I suspect if we change out the dual inlet water valve (Part #304374 on my GE but it appears to be same part#WR57X10051 on many GE refrigerators). i just bought one on Amazon and will make the part swap wed or thur when it arrives. keep our fingers crossed.
we have really hard water and the pressure is barely legal for city water. i suspect the valve got too much calcium buildup. all our appliances that have water in them go bad in 5-7 years. faucets, water heater, washing machine all replaced in our new home since 2006.
im also going to change the filter. like you we have water from the dispenser. but the ice maker is not getting water. i suspected the inlet valve or hoses. i disconnected the valve and lines, jiggled them, smacked them a couple times and re-installed. it made ice for a couple days then stopped. im buying a replacement valve and i bet it will fix the problem permanently.
