Power light is on but nothing happens - indesit iwme12

The washing machine power light is on but nothing happens when i press start. The LED next to the lock symbol flashes (not sure if this was always the case) but when i press the start button the start light comes on as normal but nothing happens.

Even if the door does lock it may not be sensing it, hense the flashing lid lock light.

    This is the same issue i am faceing, door lockes but the machine is not sencing it, what would need replacing to fix this problem, my machine is a Whirlpool WD420

If the door does not lock at this point it probably needs door lock replacing

Indesit Iwme12 fills with water then nothing else, i took it apart then got it spinning but same has happened again??
Is the belt badly worn? When you "got it spinning", did you have to help the motor to start? If so... that motor is probably at the end of its life. If not, what did you do to get it spinning?

No power to my Indesit Washing Machine.
PCB has suffered a catastrophic failure due to the power cut, it will need to be replaced. if you have a power cut in the future always turn off your appliances, as the voltage can exceed the appliance recommended voltage. only leave a light on as lights can take the over voltage unless they are led type, you can but power drop sockets that when power is off it turns of the socket off so no power goes thought to the appliance.
