I have a 36volt ebike battery. I'm using a 34volt lap top style charger spliced into it. I need to know, does the battery still charge if the external fuse is missing? I know it wont give out power without one, but there is a 2nd fuse thats on the inside of the aluminum housing although didnt seem to be hooked up to the charge port. Any help would be dooooooope thanks!

Generally speaking, an orange power light indicates problems with the power. You also described to a "T" how a bad battery behaves. To test this theory, take out the battery and plug in the laptop. It should power up and run. If so, it's time to invest in a new battery.
To be doubly sure, if you have anyone with the same laptop as yourself, plug in their battery to your laptop. It should work if their battery is good.

SOURCE: my hp compaq laptop charger is not working in the

First of all, you need to make sure your power adapter is providing enough power to both run the laptop & charge the battery. A very good way to do this is to compare your laptop voltage & ampere requirements (written on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop) with the voltage & ampere ratings of the power adapter. Voltages should be the same, or the power adapter's voltage about up to 0.5 volts more than the laptop's voltage rating. Amperage of the power adapter should be at least equal to or greater than the laptop's rating. It should never be less than the laptop's rating, or else the power adapter will be providing insufficient amperes to charge the battery. Of course, the power adapter's nominal amperage might be ok, but it degraded on usage. You can verify this by testing using a good or new power adapter.
If the battery did not charge using the new power adapter, take the battery off the laptop, & using a dry tooth brush, scrub in between the fins of the battery connector on the motherboard & on the battery it self, then put the battery back into the laptop & try again.
If this still did not resolve the problem, then the battery itself could be bad. Try it on another laptop, or try a good or new battery in your laptop.
If this did not work, there might be a possibility that the charging circuitry on the laptop's motherboard is defective & needs servicing. In order to do this, the laptop needs to be disassembled & the motherboard checked for defective/burned out components in the area near the DC jack. Any defective/burned out components found should be replaced, or you might need to replace the laptop's motherboard altogether.

DC Jack diagnosis:
1. Test power adapter for output voltage. Bend the power cable in various directions while doing this to be sure that there is no broken conductors in the cable.
2. If power adapter is Ok, connect it & see if the power LED on the laptop will glow when you jiggle the power connector in various directions. If yes, then the DC jack might be loose or damaged, & need to be either re-soldered or replaced.
3. If not, then disassemble the laptop. Remove any components that attach to the laptop's motherboard first (e.g. battery, hard drive, RAM, wireless card, optical drive, ... etc.)
4. Next, remove the keyboard & the LCD screen.
5. Finally, unscrew all screws that hold the upper cover & lower cover together so that you could gain access to the motherboard.
6. Inspect the solder points connecting the DC jack to the motherboard. Make sure that none of them is loose. If any, re-solder them.
7. Inspect the center pin in the DC jack. Make sure that it is not broken or loose. If it is, then you might need to replace the DC jack.
8. When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.

SOURCE: using battery charger with 3.42A vs 4.74A for lap top

YOu can always use higher amps when required but not lower than required. Voltage should stay the same as original charger - keep it in mind.

What does solid red and green lights on QIANHUI 6O VOLT ebike charger mean

A solid red and green light on your QIANHUI 60 volt ebike charger usually indicates that the battery is fully charged and the charger is in a standby or maintenance mode. When the battery is fully charged, the charger will automatically switch to this mode to prevent overcharging and prolong the battery life.
If the lights remain solid even after unplugging and reconnecting the charger, it could indicate a problem with the charger or the battery. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is properly connected and functioning. You can try using a voltmeter to test the voltage of the battery. If the voltage is too low, the charger may not recognize it and remain in standby mode.
  2. Check the charger: Make sure the charger is properly connected to the power outlet and the battery. You can try unplugging and replugging the charger to ensure a good connection.
  3. Check for faults: Some chargers have a fault indicator that will illuminate if there is a problem with the charger or the battery. Check the user manual or contact the manufacturer to see if your charger has this feature.

Gtech ebike battery not charging

Not necessarily. Green light on the charger shows it has power, but is power coming out of it? Not sure about the battery red light, it might be self powered and shows it needs charging. 10 minutes with a multimeter would answer all the questions. ebike batteries are expensive, so you don't wat to replace if not needed.

Hi . I have a Schwinn AL1020 Folding Electric Bike and was wondering if it's possible to convert it to another battery.

A a general rule as long as the new battery is the same Voltage AND the same Amp rating another battery will work. The issue you will have is getting the new battery to fit the frame as your existing battery was shaped just for that bike.

Can a hub motor on ebike be started with battery charger ?

unlikely
starters draw more amps than most battery chargers can supply so it will blow the charger fuse
have the battery checked and if faulty -replace , then you can charge the battery while it is still connected in the bike

Motorola talkabout red light on radio stays on while charging

Your radio needs to be turned off when on the charger, and be certain you are using a rechargeable Motorola battery. The charger will not charge AAA batteries or rechargeable style AAA batteries. If the light does not illuminate on your charger, try the radio in a different charger and see if it does. This will tell you if it is the radio or the charger. One further note, you should clean your charge contacts with a pencil eraser to insure they are making good connection.

Battery charger on green light when battery flat ,it should be on red also when charger plugged into bike, bike works ok when you take charger out bike stops working

If your bike works when you have the charger connected but doesn't whith the charger disconnected and just the battery then your battery is not charged or you have a bad connection between the battery and ebike.
If the battery charger is showing green then it normally means that charging has stopped charging and there is no current flow to battery. This could be because the battery is fully charged, OR there is an open circuit (broken wire, etc.) between the charger and battery, OR your battery is so flat the voltage is below the low voltage cut-off point of the charger so the charger is not switching on.
You need to check the voltage out of your battery and compare it to the LVC of your charger (should be specified in the user manual), but from what you have described I'd say you need to replace your battery.

How do you recharge a Motorola sp10 I need to know how to recharge it. I lost the manual.

There are three methods of charging the HNN9044 battery used in an SP10 radio:
1) Use the HTN8232 10-hour wall charger. It plugs into a jack under the flap on the side of the radio (opposite side from the PTT button).
2) Use the drop-in style charger by setting the radio in the charger (this works if your radio has silver battery contact showing on the bottom.)
3) Use the drop-in charger to charge the battery alone. (The battery will set in the charge crossways to the way a radio would set.)

Lastly, if your battery will not charge by one of the above methods it might need replaced.

Best regards.

¿ tiempo de carga de la bateria en lap top por primera vez?

Hello,
Sorry, espanol no hablo

You must let the battery cargar completemente maybe 4 o 5 horas if you are not using the computer (OFF) , and 12 a 13 horas if computer is ON. Don't leave it charged in the computer while computer is connected to the power socket, unless you also charging the battery.
Before charging it a second time, make sure it is completely drained. Some manufacturers (Toshiba) recommend to cycle the battery (charge, discharge) 2 or 3 times before using it.
Every month you should allow it to be drained.

Hope it helps.
