Got a replacement DVD ON 2/19/2010 FOR GREETING CARD deluxe. Will not download onto new computer. Order # was 1035663861_1S0767

This fault must be taken up with the greetinggs company who had supplied the product . Also check this on another PC before it is confirmed. Sometimes it can be due to problems within the PC, being a infested or corrupt OS.

My Art Explosion Greeting Card Deluxe Factory 2 software will not work on my Toshiba Satellite A200 laptop. I am using Windows Vista. Please can you advise?

Unfortunately the Windows OS has changed significantly since that software was released. Nova Developement now has the Greeting Card Factory Deluxe version 8 for XP/Vista/7.

If you have the 64-bit Vista, you may not be able to get the old software to work and need the upgrade or a virtual computer with an older Windows OS (see below). To check your OS version, click Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System .

You can try running the program in the compatibility mode - this will work best with software for XP not Win95-NT. Right click on the installer and select Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and choose Run this program as compatible with (an older version of Windows). Click on the check box and use the drop-down menu to select the older OS. Save the change by clicking apply then close the window. Right click again on the installer and choose Run as Administrator.

If the program installs, do the same compatibility steps for the program's exe file itself. (You don't need to run as administrator though.)

Alternatively, you can run a dual boot or virtual computer with an older Windows OS. (Programs like Virtual PC, Parallels and VMWare let you run a virtual computer inside the Vista system with a computer that can handle virtualization.) Unfortunately, you usually need a licensed version of Windows to do this. (Win7 Pro and Ultimate let you do this free with Virtual PC and XP mode.) Then install the software normally in the virtual computer or when booted into the older version of Windows. File transfer can be tricky with the virtual computer - you need to save files to external media (flash drive or optical disc). Printers can't be installed on both the real and virtual computer at the same time.

I hope this helps.

I have just bought a new acer computer with windows 7 but why will my greeting card deluxe version 6 will not install

Try under compatability mode, your support site says Microsoft Windows 98, NT, 2000, Me, XP, Vista (classic mode)
So it may work with windows 7, if you right click on the exe file and change the properties to compatability mode, and run as administrator

Greeting card factory 5

Nova Development no longer supports Greeting Card Factory 5 on their website, but it looks like Greeting Card Factory 5 is only compatible with Windows versions up to Windows XP. You could try installing it in Windows 7, but it probably won't work right.

However, Greeting Card Factory 8 is fully compatible with Windows 7.

Cannot instal new greeting card factory version . get error 1305

well this might be the issue because of the problem with the incompatible installer or if the OS is not up to date so try to update the OS and try to install it.

good luck.

Problem installing,deluxe version 7,greeting card

insert disk
click on MYCOMPUTER and then RIGHT-CLICK on the drive and then click or EXPLORE

This should open a folder for the disk. somewhere in there should be an EXE file with SETUP in the title.

if the folder doesn't display the contents you may have a bad disk
if it does and you cant find a setup program let me know.

is this the only disk you have had trouble with lately?
