I cannot get a position on my Simrad CE33 chartplotter even though my C-Map card is fine (I tested it) and I can pick up 5 satellites on my GPS (my antenna is fine). When I turn on the system, it tries to determine a position, seems unable to, and then system reboots and tries again. It will keep doing this until I shut it down.
You will have to update the maps. There are downloads on company sites and others as well.
Ensure that the external position to be OFF, refer to manual below. See interface display in [MENU],7,2
Try resetting the Chart Plotter to factory settings. Use the Delete Memory and Factory Preset options as described in section 9 of the user manual below:

I've actually tried to do both, but neither worked. It is still unable to determine position and keeps rebooting.
Someone told me I may need a software update?
Any other ideas?
