Polaroid Model 3200 started with no sound then

Tv power supply board is the causes and the problems.It dead.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

msp_pitt, The first place I would investigate would be the units MAIN "switch-mode-power-supply" to see if any capacitors have blown-up or vented themselves to room atmosphere. I would also check the units "inverter supply" board for bad capacitors or other fried components. You may or may not find parts or boards for this unit. could try some place called "shop jimmy" I think. Before you do anything visit YOUTUBE. Symptoms of a Defective or dying Power supplies on LCD TVs.
1. Light(s) on the front panel are behaving not normal example, blinking, amber color or not steady, fainting, etc.
2. TV not turning ON properly.
3. TV turns OFF by itself.
4. Needs to be unplug to many times to make it work.
5. Humming or high pitch noise heard through speakers or at the back of the TV.

The 23" CRT set may have a high voltage breakdown in the flyback transformer or focus divider. Take the back off and operate the set in a dark room. Look for anything that has a blue glow around it or sparks flying when the pop occurs. I won't guarantee this will find your problem, but it is definitive if you see these!

I once had a set with these symptoms. I stopped the blue glow and arcing by covering the focus divider with epoxy. It worked for a couple of months before the divider literally broke apart.

I have a flat screen polaroid lcd hdtv model 3700, first the sound started to get really loud with a beeeeeeeeep when we turned on and after a while was gone, now it doesnt! we had to put mute and connect the tv to a sorround system to hear it without that crazy noise, and now the colors of the tv are gone too its just black and white when we try to see the dish satelite but if we put a movie on the dvd player colors are perfect we try to conect the ps3 player too but its black and white too. Help what can it be!!!!????

you have a power supply problem.. I have fixed serveral tvs with this problem. normally you have to replace busted capacitors in the power supply board.

Your power supply has failed; have it replaced

Your only solution is to change the sound to mono. Eventually the power supply will go and the tv won't work.
