since the webcam is connected through the USB, USB sometimes plugs off frequently. what is the resolution of the camera?

try to decrease the resolution. Yahoo uses very low pixel transfer rate.

You should un-install yahoo and re-install it , you won't lose any of your contacts ....this in turn will eliminate yahoo as the problem . let me know .

YOU NEED TO SET CAM UP
IF DOES'NT HELP THEN UNINSTALL YAHOO AND RESTART AND REINSTALL AND GO THROUGH SETUP AGAIN
Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
Next Calling and Devices on the right and
set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Next go to the Test Audio section and in blue writing click
on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions
on the left window.

email? or yahoo messenger? you have to install your web cam and click My Webcam in yahoo messenger.. and click Preferences.. and click Camera source.. then choose the installed web cam.. and it will work

on yahoo you have to select the cam
select messenger > preferences > webcam and select source

Are you trying to use the cam on different programs at once? You will need a 3rd party program (splitcam, etc) to do that. The Logitech software was designed to use ONE program at a time with it.

MAKE SURE CAM IS NOT PLUGGED IN!!

Go to www.logitech.com

Click on "support" at the top

Click on "downloads + parts"

Choose "webcams" from the "product type" dropdown box.

Choose "Quickcam PRO 4000" from the "product name" dropdown box.

Click the blue arrow

Click "get software"

Choose your Operating System

Download / install it

NOTE: Do NOT for ANY reason plug the cam in before it asks you to do so!
