If you are not on contract you can simply not make the next payment and service should terminate or call your service provider to cancel the service.

I want to cancel my contract. What about the phone? How do i go about to cancel the contract

Hello, Pieter -

You will need to contact the cell phone services provider with which you contracted . . . directly. Try to speak with a real person.

You have not stated the cell phone services provider in your questions, so I or someone else cannot even try to find the contract requirements and restrictions for the company.

Fixya.com has no affiliation with cell phone services providers. Fixya is a website intended for asking and answering questions on how to go about repairing things.

Best wishes.

How Can I change my IPad bought by my son,to use my email and phone number instead of his?

You can’t change the number and email address. This has to be done by a phone service like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc., or a company that is contracting with them that sells their service, like WalMart, Target, etc. They would assign a mobile phone number and use whatever email address you may already have from your Internet Service Provider , e.g., Cox, Comcast, etc.
If you have a device using your son’s email address and a phone number, different from what you want, you may have to cancel the contract (assuming you have one) with them in order to get a new number assigned by a different company. Cancelling the contract may still hold you responsible to pay the fees for the entire contract (e.g., 2-years) you currently have, or you may have a penalty to pay. Check with you current phone service provider, e.g., AT&T. Make sure to ask about penalties and fees if you cancel your current contract. They may be willing to roll over your current contract to a new one, and not charge you penalties. Ask !

I called Vodacom to cancel my contract. I knew we would need to pay for the bal of the device and a cancellation fee. On receiving a settlement inv the early cancellation fee is 75% of the contract

Hello, Carmen -

Fixya.com has no affiliation with the South African communications company Vodacom.

Fixya.com is a website intended for asking and answering questions on how to go about REPAIRING THINGS. I am answering from the USA.

If you reside where there is a public library, I suggest you ask one of the librarians there about an organization or organizations in South Africa where you can file a consumer complaint regarding the cell phone contract and the early cancellation fee.

Personal opinion: You may just have to resign yourself to keeping Vodacom as your provider and change to a new one when your Vodacom contract is completed. By that time, you will be able to investigate all your choices and understand which company provides the best service and contracts for customers.

Best wishes.

What does the act say about the cancellation of a buying contract of something. Can you cancel the contract and get your money back?

there is a cooling off period in all contracts that allows cancellation of a contract
another clause used to cancel a contract is the obtaining of finance to settle the contract with in a set period of time
Of course it would be very helpful if you stated the contract for what
best talk with the lawyer that helped you with the contract

I want to canceler

Hi Shirley

If you're wanting to cancel your mobile phone service, you'll need to contact the carrier that your phone connects to and go through the process of stopping service. There are far too many different versions of mobile contracts to give you a definitive answer about what all you'll need to do. If you're currently under a contract, you may have a cancellation fee for stopping the service, and if you cancel a current contract that included payments on a phone, or a deep discount up front, you may be liable for the rest of the phone cost.

If you're on AT&T, you can call free to 611 to talk to customer service.

Hoping this helps.!

Pay account

If the contract has, indeed, been fully canceled, then once you pay the account in full, the phone *most likely* is your personal property (I say most likely because without knowing the terms and conditions of your contract, I can't say who has what rights, so please understand all my advice is based on generalities and for the best answer possible, contact your service provider). What that means is that you can take that phone and use it to begin service on a separate account, which typically means you don't even need to sign a new contract. Like I said previously, though, it's best to contact your provider directly.

Hope that helps!

Cancel my subscription

some internet service provider dont allow you to cancel your subscription, this is because they will say your in a contract with them. Better to ask them to cancel but if not ask for other options.
