I had the same problem. BG2046 , Acer DVD was not able to solve the problem (Aspire 5738 ) I downloaded the update from Acer.co.in and then forced a have disk install of the driver from downloaded driver. Which installed my Bluetooth.

Install the software driver of your bluetooth that is package from ur laptop acer and open on the bluetooth hardware while installing the software to detect it.

go to products and support > aspire > click aspire 5738 > choose what windows are you using >

The acer 5738 has bluetooth included! If the hotkeys has the good driver, Fn+F3 = on/off blutooth (first switch) you have a second switch up to your keyboard on the left side, a button with the bluetooth...

How to install and use bluetooth in Acer Aspire 5738. When i install Driver CD its installs everything except device and says you devices is not on or not available. please help me
most acer and Toshiba Laptops dont have bluetooth but only wireless.
Thats why it may install everythi)ng but may not show the device.
Get an external Blietooth ( USB)

How do I enable my bluetooth on my Acer Aspire 5738z laptop? There is a bluetooth button on the top left hand corner of the laptop but nothing happens when I press it only an image of the bluetooth appeas...
Make sure you have the driver for the bluetooth installed http://support.acer.com/us/en/drivers_download.aspx
here is a link to the driver downlod page. You can check it by going into System Properties then click on Hardware tab to see if it is installed properly. (right click on My Computer Icon and select Properties to get to the System Properties)

Bluetooth not working on acer aspire 5738
Hi tallyman,
you lost bet ...when it has a bluetooth switch it will have a hardware installed.
Best solution is got is a simple call to acer service support,the problem very very simple in 5738 machines they installed foxcom bluetooth device a very much updated version.But the drives in your cd will be broadcom drivers install aspire 3810T model bluetooth drivers.

Aser 5738 laptop bluetooth not working on widows 7
You will probably have to look on the net for a driver that is compatible with windows 7 for your bluetooth device. If you cant find one designed for windows 7 you could try a driver made for vista as many vista drivers work for windows 7 devices as well
