Replacing brush roller on my KIrby g6 limited edition
I bought a new brush roller but when I put it back together the little green is okay for a while and then it flickers and goes away when you lower the unit to the carpet.

take 2 screws out of the recessed hole on the bottom plastic cover and unsnap it from the front and sides the pull off and and remove the brush roller put new belt around the motor shaft and roller and slide back in the socket
THIS GEEN LIGHT MEANS THAT THE BELT HAS COME OFF. THE REPLACEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: FLIP THE BRUSH (RUG RENOVATOR) OVER AND REMOVE THE SCREWS ON THE SILVER GUARD THAT KEEPS THE ROLLER IN PLACE. SLIDE THE ROLLER UP OUT OF THE SLOT, TAKING NOTE ON THE HALF MOON SHAPED SIDE. REMOVE THE OLD BELT(OR WHAT'S LEFT OF IT). PLACE THE BELT AROUND THE MOTOR SHAFT FIRST. THEN AROUND THE WOODEN BARE SPOT ON THE ROLLER. PUT THE ROUND(CIRCULAR) SIDE OF THE ROLLER IN FIRST, THEN CAREFULLY STRETCH THE ROLLER WHILE HOLDING IN THE ROUND SIDE IN ONE SIDE AND ROTATE THE ROLLER UNTILL THE HALF MOON LINES UP TO THE SLOT. PUSH IT DOWN INTO THE SLOT AND PUT THE ROLLER COVER BACK IN PLACE AND RE-INSTALL THE SCREWS. AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANK YOU FOR THE HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA.
You have two choices,
1.) To use your shampoo attachment, you'll need the fluffer shield, To set up the attachment seperate the tray assembly (the part that holds the roller brush) from the nozzle assembly (the part that attaches to the machine). Now seperate the roller brush from the tray (easiest way is to pull the belt). Insert the roller brush into the fluffer shield (it only goes one way). Insert the fluffer shield with the roller brush installed into the nozzle assembly the plastic shield will be faced towards the front of the machine. Turn belt lifter to where the red arrows match and attach to the front of the machine. Turn belt lifter to where the green arrows match and you should be in business.
2.) Your using the floor buffing attachment it the easiest method just put on like the floor nozzle (thing you vacuum with).
