Mbox locked on T7316

I am trying to set up my voicemail box and have managed to lock it. We do not have anyone at our office that knows how to set up the phone, so I tried to follow the setup sheet. I pressed the open mail button, entered the code1020000. It said I had to change my code, so I tried. then it locked and I can not do anything. Any suggestions?

    feature 981 says pswd.

    I enter feature 983, then 1020000. I expect it to go to MBOX, but instead it asks for PSWD. I have tried 0000, 1111 and 1234.

    That did not work. Is there any way to unlock the voicemail feature on my phone? I do believe we have the BCM50 system, as I found the manual for it. I called the administrator and he said the 266344 number is correct.

    Yes attached, and no to the IP address. I am trying to call administrator again to get it. I will wait to hear from him, although I will be back here again Tuesday to get this done. Thank you for your help!

    when you press feature 981 does it say pswd or log?

Sounds like you might have a BCM 50 Try feature 983, id:738862, pswd:266344. Hopefully the password wasn't changed.

We have a Nortel Networks system T7316. One phone has the mailbox locked out and says contact admin. I have tried the 120000 code and it is invalid. What else can I try?

Feature 983 log in is 120000 (if 2 digit extension, 1020000 if 3 digit, 10020000 if 4 digit extensions)
Select Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the password.



So in other words, try 1020000, 10020000, 120000

I'm locked out of the voicemail feature and I can't find a way of activating a new password to pick up messages. It's a Nortel T7208 system. Has anyone any ideas?

Feature 983 log in is 120000 (if 2 digit extension, 1020000 if 3 digit, 10020000 if 4 digit extensions)
Select Mbox, enter that locked extensions mail box number, You will see password RESET. Select RESET. Release out. This will reset that mail box password to 0000. Use feature 981 on that phone and enter the new default password of 0000. you will then be prompted to change the password.


Feature 985 will show you the extension of the phone you are using.

Nortel Voicemail Reset Password Problem

You have to make sure this is the wright mail box for that local The mail box should be the same as the local.From the main set press feature 983 password
120000 for 2 digit locals , 1020000 for 3 digit locals etc then press mbox press chg enter mbox no. next password press reset this will take in back to 0000 as mailbox password.

Hi there, let me give this a crack at it...
The Telephone system sounds like a Norstar BCM... what Consultel1 gave you as an answer is correct, for a Norstar Key system.
OK, do all that Consultel1 stated: -> FEATURE 983 -> You will now see LOG:type in 738662 (SETNNA) and press OK -> You will now see PASSWORD: type in 266344 (CONFIG) and press OK -> then you will see the ADMIN and the options for MBOX, AA, OTHR
Now follow Consultel1 advise on changing Voicemail Passwords, from his orginal post.

Mbox Locked - Feature 981

Feature 985 is used for resetting the administrator password.To reset a subscriber mailbox press feature 983, enter in log (default 1020000), on the 3 soft keys bolow the the screen press mbox,chng, enter extension number of the locked mailbox, press reset at the reset password prompt.press rls key

How do I reset a password on a Norstar Voice Mail mailbox?
Press Feature 983.
Enter the System Coordinator's Mailbox number (default is 12, 102, 1002, depending on length of extension numbers) followed by Password (default 0000).
Press MBOX.
Press CHNG.
Enter the mailbox number that is giving you troubles.
Press RESET. The password has been reset to default (0000).

Want to erase a mail box

Norstar Voicemail for Call Pilot
**************************************************************************
Log In to System Administration:
1. Enter Feature 983 on a programming set
2. The display will show "LOG:", enter login password: "1020000"
3. Press the softkey under "OK"
4. Select the softkey under "MBOX"
5. Select the softkey under "DEL"
6. Enter the mailbox number (extension. you want to delete - 123)
7. Select the softkey under "Delete"

8. Press the RLS button to end.

Voila, now the mailbox is deleted.

I have a problem with voice mail with a meridian hooked to NT5806DA-93. The system on voice mail every second pulse off so that only half of each message is played at a half second interval

Voicemail Features Norstar Common To Check Your Voicemail:
1. Press the Check Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 981

3. From here you can listen to messages, change your greeting, change your password, etc.
To Leave a Message for Someone in Your Office:
