Unable to download firmware and driver.

I have SMC router SMC 7004VBR Part Number 751.0113.
I have tried ti download firmware and driver from their website many times entering different information each time but it said no .

i have a similar problem with SMC7904WBRA2 Barricade router. I can only intermittently connect from my Vista Home Basic PC to the router. Most times I am unsuccessful.

SOURCE: SMC Barricade 2804WBR.

just hardwired a computer to the router and open a web browser. on the address bar of the web browser type http://192.168.2.1 (default ip address of the router) and you will be prompted with the login screen. by default you don't need to type anything on the password field. now you will prompted with the router's page and from there you can set it up.

Are you trying to configure the router wirelessly. Connect your computer to the router with a lan cable and then access the router and change its wireless settings. since you cannot change the wireless settings wirelessly as you will get disconnected.

My ipod touch wont connect

There are firmware updates available for this router available at the SMC Support Web Site.
Follow the link to "Firmware" under "Support" on the left-hand side. Apparently there are two different part numbers associated with the SMC2804WBR model number. Check the label on the router to determine which part number is yours.
Download the firmware update and apply the update according to the user manual, which is also available at the link above.
If this does not resolve the issue, then this router may be outdated and unable to support your iPod Touch.

Install the new driver software for the network adapter from your CD copy.
The Adapter firmware mapper was corrupted.

Can't setup my router

You should be able to download drivers and firmware from the smc site here.
Also see the FAQ or knowledge base articles to help you with installation questions.
A great site for help with all sorts of broadband and or wireless issues is this one. It takes a little reading to find the right section, perhaps, but a wealth of reliable info there. (You'll see there's an SMC forum, but read the FAQs too.)

Hello,
I tried to find you the Driver for your Router but had no luck. The best I could do is find you the Firmware Updates for your Router.

Go HERE to download the Firmware Update.

To upgrade the firmware, login to the router's web interface
-> enter the password (smcadmin)
-> click on login -> tools-> firmware upgrade -> click on browse -> browse to thelocation of the upgrade file
-> click on 'Begin Upgrade' button-> you will be prompted to confirm the upgrade.
