Cant boot from usb. sandisk cruz 4gb

So I'm having a problem installing backtrack3 on my sansa 4g usb drive and making it bootable... I've completely striped and formatted the drive to fat32 and I've tried using enetbootin (which claims a successful install and requires a reboot.) and I set my bios boot priority to boot from removable drive im not sure if im missing a step along the way or if anyone knows of any incompatibility etc.... im running an ASUS G71G/G71GX series if thats gonna make a difference

These answers are garbage. You should be using "Roofus," you won't have to do any of that fancy formatting stuff. You can just select the drive and ".iso" file in the program and begin burning. https://rufus.akeo.ie/

I dont have sandisk driver for my sansa E260..i cant transfer songs..

Sansa Not Recognized: Try connecting it to the back of your computer or another computer the back straight to the motherboard this should be USB 2.0 and see if it will recognize it as sansa or Drive/removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when asked. This will update your sansas firmware and add the Usb Mode. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe) download to a flash drive much easier. Make sure USB mode is MSC
Recovery Mode may also allow your computer to recognize the sansa
lock your sansa hold in the rec key on the left at the same time push the menu/power button this will take you to recovery mode then connect to the computer Start the update software when finished disconnect.... Sync to upload songs to the sansa......Hope this works

How can i make bootable sandisk 4 GB for instalation window xp sp2 please give best solution Tikendra

This is only possible if there is an option in device boot order in the BIOS configuration.
In older motherboards there are no options for booting up with a USB flash drive in a USB port, because there are no USB drivers installed until Windows boots up.

How to recover linux for EEE PC 4G

Simple, You need to get a USB - DVD Dongle, & your backup DVD that came with your unit. Inset the DVD, and boot of it, you need to access the BIOS and set the drive boot Up options, to boot from external USB connected, DVD, it MUST be all plugged in to show this. Then save settings and reboot. Follow instructions & then it will simply perform a complete restore. Now if you can't or don't want to use a USB-DVD, then you will have to make a Bootable USB Key, transfer the contents of the DVD to it and set to boot from that and do so, and install that way. There are a number of tutorial showing you how to do this.

4GB Sandisk Cruzer Pt. 2

Hello

I have used PEbuilder to make bootable flash drives for all the different operating systems. In my shop it's much easier to have these on hand. If you made the flash drive correctly (I assume you did) did you check the netbook's BIOS to make sure the USB port was turned on and set to allow a bootable device?

Inserting SanDisk Cruzer in USB, REBOOTS the Computer instantly

Not sure if this is the problem, but I just found out that in some BIOS menus, there are 3 options for your USB controller...Enable...Disable...No Boot.

If you know how to get to your BIOS, it's worth a shot to make sure it is set to "No Boot" if it is an option.
