My DeLonghi DEM10 wont power on any more - looks like fuse has gone in the plug but it hasn't - and I checked a different power socket too - but just wont power on - no lights, nothing. Any ideas? Thanks.
The tank may be full. Your dehumidifier has a safety device that turns off the dehumidifier when the water tank is full. Usually the tank itself either presses against a switch or there's a device connected to the tank that triggers a switch when the tank is in place and full.
If you've emptied the tank and the unit doesn't run, inspect the place where the tank rests to see if there's a switch or mechanism that's not being activated. You may be able to turn it on with a simple flick of your finger.
There is no other option its better to take it to some authorised dealer for repair.
Totally useless comments. There's a red light flashes when the tank is full. This one is dead. If you don't know the product don't comment on it
it happened to me as well.
it's the PCBp
it's the PCB. You can get it from Delonghi online for £33 and do it yourself (don't know how difficult it is). I opted for having it done by autorised service centre for 55+VAT.
There's 2 entirely different PCBs for this model. One operates a low voltage fan and the alternate one operates a mains voltage fan. The mains voltage fan model has an onboard capacitor which fails (in the power section of the PCB). Details are available elsewhere. I was unable to get any information about the other (low voltage fan) PCB and junked the (dead) dehumidifier I had. De Longhi themselves proved difficult/impossible to get info from. Lidl do a nice one.

It's likely the PCB, but beware! There are 2 different ones

Thanks - already tried that and the unit has a light that would usually come on if the tank was full (or missing) - but no lights come on at all - it's as if the fuse has gone but it hasn't.
I took the unit apart and there is also a small fuse on one of the PCBs - and checked this with a continuity tested and it looks OK too.
So - both fuses seem OK - not sure what to try next.
Hi, did you ever find out what was wrong with your DEM10? I have exactly the same problem, any advice? cheers Ben
Hi mate, where was the fuse on the PCB please?
Hi I got the same problem. Fuse appears to be ok on mine too. Did you ever find out what was the issue?
