Dreco,
I was changing my battery and ran into a small problem, too. I know where one spring goes, but I have another similar spring that may have fallen out of the watch (I was working on another different watch before, so I'm not sure if the 2nd spring belongs in the watch). One spring contacts the small speaker on the metal cover and will not affect the LCD display.

How many springs do you see in yours, if any?

Casio GW810D I have changed the battery, the display is now running but none of the buttons are functioning. Have I missed/lost something. Any help is appreciated.

you need to do this Shortcut the battery with AC contact. AC can be found on the sides of watch movement(very tiny). You have to use pointed tweezers: one end on battery+, another on AC contact for three secs

Nike Triax Fury: when replacing battery, 2 springs fell out (silver and a gold one). Where do these go and where were they from?

I had the same problem - replaced the battery of my Nike Triax Fury and the time was blinking and none of the buttons were working. Turns out that you need both springs placed in the proper spot - the silver and gold springs. Both springs can be placed in their proper spot with the batter in. The gold one goes in the tiny hole near the "view" spot, and the silver spring goes year the 'cage' that holds the battery in place accross from the gold spring. Unfortunately, I can't add a photo or I would. Good luck.

Just change the battery on my Nike Anvil WC0020 watch and the alarm won't sound for the timer as well as the two alarm settings.

If you changed battery yourself, you've lost the tiny spring without noticing it. Carefully check around the place where you changed the battery. The spring itself is very, very tiny, so, be as concentrated as much as you can. That spring (coilspring named by watchmakers) transmits the signal from watch movement to the watch back cover where the sound membrane is located. In case if you find it, open the watch and insert that spring with the bent out end first in to the desired hole in watch movement (should be named COIL SPRING). After that re-assemble watch and the sound should work.

What is the AC terminal which I need to short with the battery + when I change the battery?

The AC terminal is a little metal spot (usually a circle and usually gold colored) on the inside of your watch. Looking at the inside of your watch the "AC" should be labeled, though it may take a magnifier to identify it.
It may be labeled simply "AC" or it may have an arrow pointing to it. Once you locate it use a pair of tweezer or a paper clip and touch the battery and the AC together for a few seconds and release; you may have to do this twice.

I have a Nike Triax 35 and just had the battery replaced. Now there is no sound when the alarm goes off. The sound icon flashes but I can't hear anything. How do i get the sound back?

were did you get your battery replace at. becuse when you take the watch apart there is a little spring that makes contact to the bottom of the case back to a metal thing that is glued to the case back. Witch is the speeker for sound. If they lost this spring no sound. :(
