Hi, The viewing screen just started displaying the images all blurry and stretched out. I took photos and uploaded, they are all blurry and stretched out too. The color is very dark. Any hints on what this could be?

If the LCD displays correctly on previous photos then the problem is more than likely a CCD or associated ribbon connector failure due to moisture/condensation or age/misuse. Good luck with finding a replacement part!
The size of the screen and its shape has no importance if you use a decent imaging program like IrfanView - in it the image will be resized to fit the screen and if the shape doesn't matches the screen will have black bands to compensate.
The only time a distortion will be encountered is when you will try to use it as a desktop background in the Stretch format - just select Center and all will be fixed. Of course the best solution is to crop and resize the picture to fit the screen exactly - you can do that with Irfan.
Try changing you screen resolution. You may right-click on the desktop and then click on properties/personalize and choose Settings/Display settings then drag the option low to high. The higher the resolution the better and sharper photos you will see in your screen.

Hi Depending upon your operating system: Right click on an open area of the background screen. The goto to settings or display settings. From here you're going to want to change the display resolution or display size to match your monitor. Experiment with the different sizes until you get the one that's right for you.
There are different settings. You can view the past photos because you are using the viewer for that, but you have a setting off in the menu. You need to turn on view photo or preview photo after picture taken.
I am not sure what it is in the Canon line, but look in your manual for the setting.
Can you see images taken earlier from memory in view mode ? Can you access the menu and see it displayed on the screen ? If yes to both, then your CCD sensor most likely is defekt.
It sounds like the resolution on the monitor may be set incorrectly in Photoshop. Try a different monitor setting. Twelve megapixels may result in your monitor "seeing" so many pixels it tries to ignore the excess ones, resulting in an image that looks poor on your monitor. If you order one print, that may give you an idea of the true printed quality without spending a lot of money on a bunch of bad prints. The F50 is truly an excellent camera and gives super images, from my experience.
