My ipod classic that i just bought used from a friend wont sync

Try connecting it to different computers. If you don't even get the iPod to say "do not disconnect" on the screen on any of the computers you have a broken logic board. What happens when you plug it into the computer and open itunes? Do you see the ipod device on the left side? If not, check the cable connections. Try another cable. Make sure the ipod is charged. See this article.for instructions on how to sync.
If it's still not working, go to iTunes>Edit>preferences>devices and make sure you haven't disabled the auto syncing box.
