I work for Sky. Ive been trying to find the code for you. There are several ways you can do this.

If i could get a picture of what the volume bar on the television looks like, this is one indication to what manufactor made the television.

The other way you can do yourself. Note this will does take some time.

TV
red + select
TV
POWER

repeat the TV , POWER until it turns you tv off. Then press SELECT to save.

The steps I mentioned above. what this is doing is going through all the remote codes on the remote itself. Hense you not inputting any numbers.
As I mentioned it can take 15 - 20 minutes depending on luck. if you get the code early on or not.

Hope this works for you.

Sky remote codes for television model 42PF9631D/10

Hi

The correct code (or whether there is a code at all) depends on which version of the Sky remote you are using. The version number of the remote can be found on a sticker inside the battery compartment. If you have "RC1600/00" "Rev 4" or "Rev 6" on the sticker, then it's unlikely that it will work with your TV, but please read on as this isn't always true.

If you have a "Rev 8" remote then it's more likely to work with your TV, however, according to Sky, you will need to buy the new "Rev 9" Sky remote:

http://www.thedigiboxshop.com/sky-hd-remotes-sky-hd-remote.html

If buying one, be sure to check the button for the "Rev 9" version ( £0.85).

The actual code for your TV model is: 0718

I suggest you try the above code regardless of which version of Sky remote you have as Sky's information is not always accurate. You can also try these generic codes for Philips TVs:

0584, 0266, 0065, 0749, 1679, 0199, 0679

Again, try these with whichever version of the Sky remote you are using. There is a good chance that one of them will operate the volume and power functions on your TV. If none of the above codes work, then you will probably need to buy a Rev 9 remote.

Hope this helps. Please post back if you need further assistance.

I need a code for sky remote control for LG tv model no.M198WA

Hi,

The correct code - or whether there is any code - depends which version of Sky remote you have. This can be found on a sticker inside the battery compartment. The Sky info for your TV is somewhat confusing. Sky have an exact match for your TV model number but if you have the RC1600/00 remote, Rev 4 or Rev remote, they do not list any codes. If you have the Rev 8 remote, they list the following codes: 0206 1293 1280

However, despite listing codes for the Rev 8 they also state that "these codes are not available for your version of the Sky remote" - confused? I am.

So, I suggest you try the above codes regardless of which Sky remote version you have and if they do not work, also try the generic codes for LG TVs for each version of the Sky remote:

Rev 4: 0065 0742 0502 0672 0634 0136
Rev 6: Same as Rev 4
Rev 8: 1293 1177 1206 0206 0065

Basically, I suggest you try all of the codes above regardless of which version of Sky remote you have, including RC1600/00. There's a good chance one of them will control the volume and standby functions.

If none of the above codes work, please post back, let me know which version of the Sky remote you have and I will try to assist you further.

I am looking for the Sky remote code for a Sony KDL-40V2000 TV can you please help.

Hi,

Sky don't have a specific code listed for this model yet, so the first thing to do is try the Generic Sony codes first. These are:

1679, 1533, 0678, 0681

These codes are for a "Rev 8" Sky remote. If the above codes don't work or you need further assistance, please post back and I will investigate further. When posting back, please state which Sky remote version you have and whether it is also Standard Sky, Sky+ or Sky HD. The version number can be found on a sticker inside the battery compartment. RC1600/00 is the old original. Newer remotes will also have either "Rev 4", "Rev 6" or "Rev 8" on the sticker.

Please note that Sky remotes wont work with all TVs. I've been informed that a new revision of the Sky remote is due soon but I have been unable to verify this.

Hope this helps. Please post back with the information requested above if you need further assistance.

Need a code so that i can operate my LG tv. model no. 37LG5010 using my sky remote.

Firstly you may need to identify which version of remote control you have, versions that are dated pre 2002 may not operate the more modern TV's and a new remote control will be needed To see which version you have, open the battery cover on the back of the Sky remote and look at the text on the sticker it will state ‘Sky rev’ (or Sky+ rev or Sky HD rev), followed by a number, such as 4, 6 or 8. This number indicates the version of your Remote Control.
Version 4: May 2001 (Sky+ introduced)
Codes are 0065, or 0405,or 0037
Version 6: March 2004
Code are 0065, or 0405, or 0037
Version 8: January 2006 (includes all current Sky+HD remote controls)
Code are 1293, or 1206, or 0206
Programming the remote control
To control your TV firstly switch on the TV set, point the Sky remote at the TV, press the "TV" button on the Sky remote, then press and hold the "Select" and "Red" buttons together until the red light at the top of the Sky remote control flashes twice. Enter the code for the TV listings above (Use the 4 digit codes), the red light will flash twice if a valid code has been entered. Press the standby button on the Sky remote control, this should switch the TV set off, if so then press the "Select" button to store the settings. You should now be able to switch the TV back on and use the volume control button from your Sky remote.
If the TV did not switch off then it may require a different code, you can either start again using one of the alternative Direct codes above or continue with this process by continuously pressing "TV" then "Standy" then "TV" then "Standby" etc until the TV set switches off. This will provide a manual scan for variations within that product code

SKY REMOTE NOT WORKING WITH MY NEW LG 42LH3000

To use sky+ remote control with LG 42LH3000 you must have a rev ver8 remote controller.
The codes are stored in a database of the Sky remote. If the old codes don't work
you may need to buy the latest Sky remote. Otherwise it is a matter of waiting for the
new Sky remote which may have the updated codes.
Note: LG Support supplied the following for Rev.8: 0206, 1293, 1665, 1174, 1176, 1219, 1280, 0857, 0851.

Version 1: August 1998
Version 2: December 1999
Version 4: May 2001 (Sky+ introduced)
Version 6: March 2004
Version 8: January 2006 (includes all current Sky+HD remote controls)

Code for sky+remote control for lg tv 50pc56

Haing same problem. Think it's the version of the remote control unit you have. If you have Rev 8 (it tells you inside the back cover) then some codes should work, if rev 6 or rev 4 it can be tricky. Try the following, but can't guarantee anything:

0742 0743 1962 0065 0405 0318 0275 0037 0391 0137 0459 0389 0398 0191 0244 0502 0245 0584 0311 0634 0072 0246 0060 0206 0065 0743
