The Samsung TX card is used to send part of the audio signal from the main unit to the wireless module that controls the surround sound (rear) speakers for a Samsung Home Theater system. It isn't going to act like a ChromeCast device for your tablet.

The Samsung AH81-04177J (SWA-4000) is only compatible with a small number of Samsung Home Theater systems. see http://www.samsungparts.com/Products/Parts_and_Accessories/PID-AH81-04177J.aspx . One of the supported systems is the Samsung HT-BD3252, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/blu-ray-home-theater-ht-bd3252-series . See the manual of the home theater system for more information: http://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/201104/20110419185210639/HT-BD3252A_XAA_0807[1].pdf .

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Subtitle Problem: Onkyo TX-sr605

The only remote that will definitely turn the sat subtitles on/off is the sat remote. The other subtitle buttons on the other remotes refer to the DVD subtitles and the subtitles generated by the tuner in the tv. The subtitle option is greyed out on the tv because you are not on the tv tuner.

SOURCE: ACER LCD Monitor display is too bright!

I have my husband's hp monitor and thought I was going to go blind. I turned down the brightness to 0 and it still didn't help that much. I decided to turn down the contrast and it worked. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Samsung DVD (1500) Remote problem.

Try to reset the blu ray player's remote control.
Remove the batteries and hold down the POWER button on it for 30 seconds.
Then replace the batteries with fresh ones

SOURCE: Acer LCD Monitor AL2671W - screen too bright!

I had the same problem with my TV when I purchased it used. Select the input you are having troubles with and enter "Service Mode" by pressing and holding the "VOL - " button and "CHAN + " buttons on the TV, simultaneously until the screen flashes red one time.

At this point you will be in service mode. Pressing the "MENU" button will open a service menu, which is different from the typical user menu. From the service menu you can further adjust your image settings until you have a decent picture.

Initially my VGA input looked terribly bright and washed out. Now it looks incredible!

SOURCE: DVD recorder has stopped picking up a signal from the tv.

Double check connections first and try using the factory settings reset, before replacing the card.

I purchased a DVD that states: Widescreen Format (Aspect Ratio 1.85.1) I'm unable to get 'widescreen/letterbox'. The movie shows up full screen or a 'stretched' view. All other movies I've...

On the DVD recorder remote: press function menu button: enter setup screen - scroll down to connection - TV aspect - select either 16:9 / 4:3 Letterbox / 4:3 Pan&scan. If you are using an older TV which is not a widescreen, set the aspect to '4:3 Letterbox'.

You should now be able to view your DVD movies from this machine through a 4:3 standard TV in letterbox format. (some DVDs do not allow pan&scan so letterbox or widescreen is recommended). Very rare that a DVD title is not compatible with 4:3 TVs. I assume your deck is set to output 16:9 aspect by default.

I find this is the cheapest and easiest solution and can save lots of dollars in service call-outs. You can always reset the unit back to shipping condition later if you need to, or in the rare case of digital channels disappearing from your tuner memory.

Are you routing the video into your reciver from the dvd player? If so route the video directly into your tv. It won't fix the initial problem but you will get picture and sound to watch dvd movies.

1. Can you view a DVD correctly? Good video and sound?
2. If so, you can get an "external tuner" like the Digital convertor boxes that the government subsidized and hook that up to your cable....
It will work (if you answered YES to #1)

3. Cost to fix TV is around $120... (tuner board)
(Don't open TV ... high voltages in there...)
4. Cost to use an external tuner around $20
5. Cost to use only for viewing DVD's ... FREE

Hope this helps.

Accessing and recording schebuled TV video.

You were not too clear on the problem, but if you mean playback, then a very good program is PowerDVD. It will access the files stored (Pinnacle and other capture devices, store the files as .mpg typed, NOT DVD .vob files.) Software like AVS video Converter, can create the DVD formatted disks; trial is free download.

New Samsung 1080p TV not displaying Full 1080 from PS3 Blu Ray movies

    Hi hsaucier,

Although you have a wide-screen television, it is possible the video you are viewing was recorded in an even wider format. The bars should be smaller than if you were viewing the same DVD on a TV with a 4:3 aspect ratio, but will likely not disappear unless you view the DVD at a zoom setting. Many movies are shown in theaters at a wider ratio than 16:9, and the Blu-Ray disc has probably retained the entire picture rather than cropping it to fit your screen.

I recommend trying different viewing options that zoom in slightly. Be aware that this may cut off part of the picture from the left and right sides, but depending on your personal preference, you may not notice anything missing.

    Thank you,
    Jason,
