If the ac jack is soldered directly to the board you can try taking or doing it yourself change the jack out, they go bad...if the jack is connected to the board via a cable, find another cable online and change it out....try the simple first and then move on. Most of the time, the problem is the charger or the jack.

Black or blue screen on power up. does not boot

If you have a multimeter, it'll be easy.
Plug the Acer Aspire 7741z charger in, test the connector of the adapter with a multimeter, remember, you only need to measure the DC voltage of the adapter.
If the readings are close to the specification on it's label, then the charger is OK.
If you do not have a multimeter,
Turn the computer completely off and remove the battery,
then check out whether you can
power up the Notebook with AC power only (no battery installed).
If you can power up your laptop, then the battery is dead.
If you still cannot power up your laptop, the adapter defective and you need replace it.

My acer aspire 4730Z is not turning ON....battery is down....when am connecting dh charger pin to dh lap, dh green indicator of dh charger goes on blinking. Lap top is like completely dead dat even dh...

Here below are possible causes and troubleshooting steps of laptop that can't power on, hope it may help:
Possible causes:

1. AC adapter failure.
2. Power jack failure.
3. Motherboard failure.

Possible troubleshooting steps and repair solutions:
1. Test the AC adapter with a digital multimeter. It's possible that you have a failed AC adapter. If you don't have a multimeter, test your laptop with another known good AC adapter.

2.It's possible that power jack (socket where you plug the AC adapter) is broken. Remove the motherboard and take a closer look at the power jack. In some cases you can fix the jack by resoldering it on the motherboard. In other cases you have to replace the jack with a new one. Using a multimeter, test if the power goes to the motherboard through the jack.

3. If replacing the AC power adapter and jack on the motherboard doesn't help, most likely you have a bad motherboard. Replace the motherboard.

Acer aspire 5720 laptop charger not charging laptop: any help?

Laptop batteries age.

Yours may be simply going dead. This happens after a while. If it only holds a little charge, then you need a new battery which can run 20-50 dollars on ebay.

Otherwise, it is your charger. This is cheaper to replace and might cost 10 to 30 dollars from ebay.

Lastly, if none of the above, it is your laptop connector port. This is the worst to fix and might require repairs that are costly.

Keep in mind, if you are under warranty, all of the above are covered and you simply need to call Acer.

Acer aspire 5520 wont power up.. no charging light when connected to mains

Try another charger. If it turns on and chargers the unit you are currently using needs to be replaced. Do not leave your charger plugged in after charging your battery as this will shorten its life.

Acer aspire laptop won't charge

Hi,
First of all you have to determine whether it's the battery, charger or the laptop itself.
Remove the battery and boot the laptop on AC power only, if the laptop boots up you can rule out the charger and the laptop, you may need a new battery if that is the case.

Regards.

    Power

Did the battery seem to lose it's charge rapidly prior to this, this would be an indication of a battery losing it's useful life, or a problem with the charge system.

Have you tried to take the battery out, plug the computer to a wall outlet granted you have the power adapter which is the same as the charger cord I would think. If that works I would say you need a new battery. Sometimes the plug port where it connects in the computer wears, so try and wiggle the cord if you didn't get something the first time.
