Epson Stylus Photo RX585 - Can't find Scan option on Mac

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Please visit this Epson site to download the driver according to your Win OS (XP, VISITA, WIN7) etc;

Then you can save the driver in your C drive in a folder you know of.  Please use this new driver during your adding of a new printer in your PC.

its an internal problem of the printer. some part inside of it may have been faulty.

Please note which operating system you are using i.e. Windows XP or Mac OSX.

I recommend saving the file to your desktop, once save double click on the file to install the printer.
Please note the printer driver and the scanner driver are separate - you will need Epson Scan for the scanner to work.

Instead of people just posting links to websites and instruction manuals or general drivers, it it more helpful to answer the question.
The resolution to the issue of not being able to scan A4 directly from the RX520 is that you can't do it from the printers control panel. You need the software, Epson Scan.
