From what you say i think you have an IP conflict. Unplug your machine and ping that IP address to see if you have response.
If you have a response it is because you already have this IP configured in other equipment.
You can also make shore if the network card of the machine is working. Plug a cable directly to the machine and see the result. If you have any more doubt reply to me or post a new question. See you
Check these options : - Check that you ebtred the Wireless key correctly. - Check that a DHCP server is configured. otherwise make your laptop ip addresse the same as the Wii ip adresse, just change the last number by increasing 100, ane make the other parameters the same, (mask, gateway, dns server). it has to be only one different ip adresse for each equipement. - Check the laptops doesn't have a fixed ip addresse. - Check that your Berlkin is not protected with MAC addresses.
check if IP adress, subnet mask and the gateway are correct on the printer setings.
Try to ping the IP address from the START-Run...(write CMD) and write ping IP adress.???.???.???.???
check if had responce.
Check the routers gateway IP address is in the same subnet as the other computers or laptop. Ie 192.168.1.X . (X is between 1 and 254) In addition, the sub net mask is 255.255.255.0 If all is ok then it is probably a miss configuration with WPA /WEP options
what do you mean by internet explore ip??
just your computers IP?? or your routers IP??
normally the IP would be 192.168.0.XX
submask is 255.255.2550
but if you just need to know your ip for now just go to START>RUN and type CMD that will open command prompt ( quick way is windows sign on keyboard + R ) to open RUN
once in CMD you type ipconfig then you'll see your IP adress, subnet mask and default gateway. hope this helps
make sure you ahve the proper Ip adress and DNS number and sub net mask numbers an open nat type might help if its wireless like me I have time warner and cant use wireless with out signing up the them
Make sure all computers has ip address in range with router. Set gateway in all computers as your routers ip also enable DHCP in router. Then you can share files and computers. Make sure that sub net mask is same and gateway is your router ip in all computers. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for suing FixYa.
1, You need know the TCP/IP address range that your router is allocating to your network. You can check this by typing ipconfig in the DOS window (click Start - Run - then type cmd to get a DOS window)
2. Take a note of the TCP/IP address and sub net mask etc.
Most likely IP address is 192.168.0.xxx (xxx might be 2 or 3 etc.)
Then go to the HP printer and to the configuration menu and scroll through to the Network configuration and setup the IP address and sub net mask. Set an IP address nearly the same as on your laptop but the last group of digits to be greater than the laptop (eg 10 or 15).
3. If you have installed the printer driver then click on Printers and Faxes then right click on the printer then Properties.
If not install the printer driver and install it on thr LPT1 printer port. Then click on Printers and Faxes then right click on the printer then Properties.
Then click on Ports tab - then click on Add Port - then select Standard TCP/IP Port - and configure this port with the IP address you assigned for the printer. Make sure you tick this Port box and tick Enable bidirectional printing - click Apply and then Close.
Then click General tab and Print Test Page.
If you get a test page then its OK, if not then go through the steps again - most likely the IP address is wrong.
