My novision tablet turns on but goes to a white screen i think its the back light how to fix this

Try a factory reset of your tablet first. Here is a link to the procedure:

find out if the actual display or just the back lights are flickering first .
turn on a good flashlight lay it on the face of the display when lights go out if the picture remains then it is the back lights not the display
but either way i believe you will end up replacing the display (backlights included( and probably LEDs) ) i will look at availability and feasability of this, come back with item model number and year

Check with the manufacturer or wherever you bought it. Sometimes they will fix it free, but you have to go through a few hoops, like filling out some paperwork and sending the unit back to the company. The downside, is that if they think it is damaged, instead of a defect, they could charge you. But if there is a warranty, then I would think the could fix for free. It all depends on the manufacturer. I has an ASUS table that the screen got cracked. After doing some research on the tablet, I found that some of the tablet had a defect on the way the screen was manufactured that would make it crack easier or for no reason. So do a little homework and see if there are any customer complaints about the product.

I have a next book and on it has a app called HDMI switch well that keeps coming on and when it comes on my screen goes black and then it will have white lines running threw it or the screen jumps with white lines on it

there is a pin hole sized opening on the back of this tablet. This is the reset switch. turn the unit on then take a small paperclip or a pin and put it in the hole and push. you should feel the switch click. hold it for about 2 seconds then release. then turn it back on.

Very gently unplug the battery cable for two minutes.. I used a pair of tweezers and worked it out. Plugged it back in and it is fine. What a relief. I have read that if it goes to sleep while plugged in via usb, it freezes? Don't know. Just be careful when pulling the battery!

Have you tried doing a system recovery using the "hot" keys for the machine. Contact ASUS support for the instructions.
