No gps signal on my mio digiwalker 168

Please try and reset the unit , check for fault in the settings . You can also remove the power and try a long reset and if after the boot there is no detection it is best to seek assistance specially if the unit is new as you can avail of free replacement warranty.

The conector socket inside the Mitac mio 168 (PDA and GPS system badged as Navman) seems to have come loose and we can no longer charge it. Otherwise it seems to work fine. It is over three years old and...

Buy the connector on the internet(its out there) and find some one with electronic repair savey and have them repair the unit for you. It's a better fix and won't cost you so much. I sent my unit to Mio and instead of just replacing the connector they replaced the whole main board + display. Sounds good but I have had problems with my SmartSt GPS program ever since. (Version problem) Can't get them to fix it.

I have Tomtom 5 Mitac Mio 168 Bundle, I can not charge it because there are some pins broken in the charger connection inside the handset.

If you cant put it in service , you can try to resolder only needed pins for charging. here is a link with pinout : http://pinouts.ru/PortableDevices/mitac_cable_pinout.shtml

Navman repair

Any electronics repair place or perhaps a camera repair shop should be able to fix it for your. Search google or your local phone book for electronics repair or camera repair. This is a very easy repair IF you are electronics savvy, but not a good first/learning project. This will require either soldering a loose connector back to the board or they may need to find and purchase a new connector to replace the old one if it is broken.
