Hi mc8230, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Does the computer power on at all? If it does, then I don't think the Power Supply Unit is the problem.

Firstly lets think why a Working pc would no longer BOOT. The boot process then. a pc starts the bios which POST's. this results in ONE BEEP which might be followed by messages(if you get several beeps then they are like morse code long/short and count out an error code). when you get your ONE BEEP the pc is working. when it then HANGS(appears to do nothing) its usually because of either a) the cd drive is duff so disconnect its cables. b) the hard drive is duff so disconnect its cables c) the hard drive hasnt quite died yet but has some very slow sectors and is making the Clackety Clack of the heads recalibrating every few seconds. d) there could be a a gpu card bios glitch and your pc is running but you just have a blank screen. some hints then 1) never start removing parts as that corrupts the CMOS(the battery backed up configuration for your BIOS) so you may need to clear your cmos. 2) never play with the idea of changing ram sticks as people usually end up putting them in any old slot(which may result in a non working pc). make sure a PAIR is fitted in slots 0/2 and a separate matching pair in 1/3 slots not in slots 0/1 which is two half pairs. Other factors. 1) a short circuit. your PSU has built in protection, if the psu fan(inside case of the psu) turns and kicks back and immediately stops you have a short circuit and its cuts the power to avoid a fire/meltdown, which could be caused by high wattage gpu(>60 watts) without its extra power cables fitted or wrongly connected front usb cables or removing a mainboard and fitting it into a new box where the board has its support posts NOT lined up with the holes fro the screws so the post is touching underside of the board circuits. hope some of that helps.

SOURCE: Not reading my memory card

You may have bent or broken contacts inside the card slot. It's tough to see, but if you look deep inside the slot, you may notice a contact bent or broken. If you're not able to see any damage inside, try taking a cotton swab with some alcohol (isopropyl, not rubbing or drinking type), and cleaning the contacts.

SOURCE: No signal in PCIe slot 1 With new graphics card

Have you checked how the BIOS is setup to recognize the added video card? You may have to change a setting in there. It could be that it thinks the old card is still there or you may need to uninstall the old cards drivers and then install the new cards drivers after reboot.

SOURCE: pny micro sd memory card

Most PCs are like that. I don't know what it is but the computer won't do it for mine neither. To put music and such on you sd card for your phone you must format the card while it's in your phone. Goto setting, Memory, Card memory, then click on opions. From there it will say "Format Card". Do it and the lock code is the last four digits or your phone number. After that's done to load music and such you put the sd chip onto you computer and transfer music to the folder on the sd card called "My_music", pix to "My_pix", and so on....

T2862 wont work -no power goes to it.

emachine?
is it new?
if its not, then check the power supply, there should be a green light on the back of the unit. if this is yellow or not lit at all then the problem is your PSU

crack the case and make sure the PSU cables are connected properly
also while your in there check for swollen capacitors or dust

Emachine....uhh...wont turn on.. green light on motherboard. help

well this would be more simple for me since i have more than one pc so first thing i would do is try another power supply if that wont turn it on then i would say mobo, the PSU's of the emachines are **** and dont last too long...
well i would try the PSU first since its cheaper.

PC is not turning on

is your powersupply overloaded by extras (e.g a new graphics card/processor) ? or has it simply given up the ghost?
the pc could also be drawing alot of powewr form you electrics and could've blown a fuse in your power socket/too much demand.
you could also try and update your bios chip. you need to be a bit more specific aswell ;)

The tower wont turn on

Check your power supply. Most common reason for your problem is that the psu has died. Also near your main psu connection on the motherboard should be a little led light. If your board is getting a proper power connection/supply that light should be green. If not it will either be off or red. If it is green then the problem may be your motherboard. If it is red or off then it is most likely a bad psu. Replace with a compatible psu & you should be back up & running. Hope this helps.

Emachine t5026 not power on. replaced psu.

I would test the memory. Also I think some computers will shut down if the fan on top of the CPU quits working. Or maybe one of the other fans or the Hard Drive quit and is drawing too much juice causing the PSU to shut down. It sounds like something may be grounding.

I purchased an emachine desktop at an estate sale that had a note on the tower saying it had a new had drive installed and never used. So I purchase it and brought it home, hooked it up and turned it on. ...

Is the 'New hard drive installed, never used' bit relevant? Open the tower, get hard drive...
PC bought at auction won't switch on ?? Anything is possible, from 'It's really an empty tower with a brick in it for weight' .. to any number of usual suspects.. The fact that most PC computer 's make a beep and light up stuff when switched on for instance relies on the presence of a working PSU.
Your diagnostic approach would begin there.
