How do i set up the voicemail on a uniden 6.0

1. Are you getting messages? If not, the voicemail may have set to "Announce Only." This means the Answering system will answer the call, but will not allow callers to leave a message. If so, there may be an LED "A" lit up on your base. You can change this setting in the Answ setup --> record time.

2. Does it occur after a particular number of rings? You can set the voicemail to answer after 2, 4, or 6 rings. This may be the problem.

3. Does the phone ring at all? It is possible the phone is in Silent Mode. You can set silent mode to last anywhere between 1-9 hours or keep it on all the time. If it is set to a particular number of hours, the phone will exit silent mode automatically. If not, you need to hold # to deactivate it. I don't think you can set silent mode to turn on automatically on a schedule, but this is something you could ask Uniden about.

The Uniden 1260 isn't a voicemail system. To setup your voicemail system, please refer to the documentation for that system. If you're using the voicemail system provided by your telephone service provider, please contact them for instructions.

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

The blinking light is telling you that you have unheard messages on Verizon's voicemail system. Please contact Verizon for instructions on setting up and accessing their voicemail system.

The Uniden D1660-2 isn't an answering machine. If you have a separate answering machine connected to your phone line, please consult its documentation. If you subscribe to a voicemail system offered by your phone company, please contact them for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

You need to contact your telephone company for instructions on setting up and using their voicemail system. The Uniden D1660 doesn't record voicemail, though it can tell you when you have voicemail waiting.

I can answer the phone but they cannot hear me speak.

I don't feel I should have to pay for some advice after I have paid for your machine.

the voicemail ring count has to be setup on your phone line thru your voicemail menu,and has nothing to do with the answering machine. if you don't want the answering machine to pickup, just shut it off. follow the prompt's for your voicemail settings, there you'll be able to set the amount of rings you want.
