This is a tip explaining the error, "Memory card locked". We will also give you the resolution for this error. This error, or rather message, is usually the result of the following situations.
Situation 1:Well, this is usually the problem, on the memory card, there is a little switch on the left side, which can switch between "Lock" or "Unlock".
If you get the display, memory card locked, remove the card from your camera, or USB adapter and have a look at the switch, if it is switched to locked, move the lever top the other side and place it back. This should solve your problem, if not, lets have a look at situation 2.
Situation 2:Open the card slot of your camera and have a look inside with a bright light/ torch. You should see a little metal tab or switch inside the card slot. This is the write protection switch.
With time and repeated use , the switch will start to bend slightly until it will no longer depress when a unlocked card is inserted.
With a toothpick or needle , slightly and very gently push this tab up a little bit. (some camera's will require you to pull the tab down), This will allow the switch to operate once again and should solve your problem.
