It has to be at least 24 hours. Sometimes if it is really wet you can leave it for 2 days.

Does putting your phone in rice work after it fell in water?

Yes, it does! If you have dropped your phone in water, completely submerging your SIM Card and Phone in rice will cause the rice to absorb the water in your phone. Your phone will work after a couple of hours of being in rice.

Water damage to pba on my samsung galaxy ace

If there is still water in the phone, get a bowl and put some dry rice in it then the phone then cover the phone with rice and make sure it is completely covered. The rice will pull the water out of your phone. Leave it in as long as you can, preferably over night. You could also put your phone and the rice in a zip lock bag. It's more portable.

HOW TO REPAIR WATER DAMAGE GT-S5620 BRAND NEW

First of all, do not turn it on, it could cause more damage to your phone. Take out the battery, and completely dry the phone before trying to use again.
Here is the procedure to take out all moisture trapped in the phone: Dry the phone, battery, any accessory, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, phone and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped phone in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your phone because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the phone. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs. Hope this helps!

I drop my phone centro palm into water! I charge the phone and the red light turns on but my phone wont turn on at all. What can i do

Get a bowl of rice. Remove the battery from the phone. Leave the phone back open. Put phone and battery in the bowl of rice, cover and leave overnight.

The rice will hopefully soak up any water inside the phone and battery. If this doesn't work there may be permanent damage to the phone from the water and charging afterwords.
