  • Compass module
  • Central junction box (CJB) fuse 15 (7.5A)
  • Circuitry

  1. If an obvious cause for an observed or reported concern is found, correct the cause (if possible) before proceeding to the next step.
  1. If the fault is not visually evident, determine the symptom and GO to Symptom Chart .
Pinpoint Test A: The Compass Is Inaccurate/Inoperative
Normal Operation The compass receives battery voltage from the central junction box (CJB) through circuit 964 (DB/LG). Ground for the compass is supplied through circuit 676 (PK/OG).
    Possible Causes
  • fuse

Smart Junction Box (SJB)
ItemPart NumberDescription1-Electrical connectors (part of 14A005)2W706287 - S901SJB bolts (2 required)314B207SJBRemoval
CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
NOTE: Prior to the removal of the module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to a scan tool. This information must be downloaded into the new SJB after installation. For additional information, refer to Section 418-01.
NOTE: The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) functionality is integral to the SJB.NOTE: A new SJB is delivered in "manufacturing mode" with 7 pre-set DTCs. These 7 manufacturing mode DTCs require that a successful configuration of the SJB occurs, then a successful TPMS sensor training occurs, then a successful self-test occurs, including the clearing of all DTCs. All of this is required in order to clear the 7 manufacturing mode DTCs. The 7 manufacturing mode DTCs are as follows:
B2477 (Module Configuration Failure)B106D (Tire Pressure Monitor System Initiators Not Configured) This DTC is present when the SJB is not configured, even on applications that are not equipped with initiators.B2868 (Left Front Tire Pressure Sensor Fault)B2869 (Right Front Tire Pressure Sensor Fault)B2870 (Right Rear Tire Pressure Sensor Fault)B2871 (Left Rear Tire Pressure Sensor Fault)C2780 (ECU in Manufacturer Sub-state)Upload the module configuration information from the SJB into the scan tool. For additional information, refer to Section 418-01.Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01.Remove the pin-type retainer and the RH A-pillar lower trim panel.Remove the glove compartment. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12.Disconnect the 7 electrical connectors.Remove the 2 bolts and the SJB.Installation
Position the SJB and install the 2 bolts.Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).Connect the 7 electrical connectors.Position the RH A-pillar lower trim panel and install the pin-type retainer.Install the glove compartment. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12.Connect the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01.NOTE: When successful, this step provides the calibration necessary for the SJB operation and clears DTCs B2477 and B106D. The clearing of these DTCs indicate the calibration data has been successfully downloaded to the SJB.Download the SJB configuration information from the scan tool to the SJB. For additional information, refer to Section 418-01.NOTE: When successful, this step clears DTCs B2868, B2869, B2870 and B2871. The clearing of these DTCs indicates the SJB has recognized the tire pressure sensors during the training procedure.Train the tire pressure sensors. For additional information, refer to Section 204-04.NOTE: DTC C2780 will not clear if any other DTCs are present in the SJB.Carry out the SJB on-demand self-test by clearing DTCs and then retrieving DTCs to confirm all DTCs have been cleared.
The fuses you want to check are in the smart junction box. Hopefully you can find it from instructions. I was just trying to give you location for those fuses. Don't worry about tire pressure sensors info.https://s9.postimg.org/kqyabqqlb/smart_junction_box.jpg

I hope you can click on the link for fuses, if not, type into address bar. The two fuses at top left, are hot all the time, not only check the fuse, use a test light and check voltage on fuse circuits. With shift interlock the brakes lites needs to work. I can't rule out smart junction box or a wiring circuit somewhere? Any applicable trouble codes?

Ok well i bought the wheel and i have this game called dirtfactor and i was trying to drive a latemodel and it doesnt turn at all it turns a little but barly......also when i do sprint cars it turns but...

I wouldn't say it's a lack of the wheel being cheap I'd be more inclined to say it's "because" the wheel is cheap. Seriously, Have you tried to calibrate the wheel using the windows calibration routine found in your control panel under Game Controllers.

Obviously the wheel is operating but barly sorry, barely. That means it is working and giving input to your computer so if that input isn't enough you either need to calibrate in windows or maybe there's even a calibration routine in the game you're playing, maybe under options. Calibration by the way is found under properties on the Game Controller section. Try it.

The test section of the windows section will tell you just how far your wheel is turning or directing your cars by means of a box with a cross in it. The more you turn the wheel the further that cross will move. Test it first, then do the calibration and then test it again. I'm sure you'll see a big difference.

You will probably not be able to find a battery, those are usually very economically priced and replacement parts are rarerly every available. You may be able to find similar rechargable battery that would work, try a dept. store or hardware store and look in the flashlight section.
