Popcorn sticking in the kettle

How do I prevent the popcorn from sticking in the kettle. The first time we used it, it worked well. Tonight the popcorn got "stuck" in the kettle and didn't spill over into the hopper. We had to take a knife to loosen it before it burned.

stirrer was moving. We are using the popcorn packs especially for the 4 oz kettle - so amount and type shouldn't be an issue.

Kettle may need cleaning, or oil is not saturated enough. The best popping oils are pure soybean, such as ordinary Wesson cooking oil, or coconut, oils which are highly mono-saturated, with high smoke points. Though olive oil and lard may fit the bill, both contain microparticles of solid material that tend to burn at optimum popping temperature.

Popcorn machine model tpc-603 manual

Treat Time Model TPC-603

Turn on light and popcorn buttons, for 2 minutes to heat up the popper's kettle.

Then turn off the popcorn button, this stops the turning gears while loading oil and popping corn.

Warning the stainless steel kettle will be hot. Might want to wear an oven mitt.
1 tablespoon of oil (I use coconut oil) and 1/3 cup of popping corn. This makes est. 6 to 8 cups of popcorn.

NOW turn on the popcorn button so the gears start turning, this turns a wire on the bottom inside the kettle to keep the kernels from sticking or burning to the bottom.

If making multi batches, during the process it states in the manual to allow it to cool 5 to 10 minutes. I normally pop 3 to 4 batches and then let it cool down.

When finished popping, turn off both the light and popcorn buttons.

I DO NOT HAVE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS FOR MY KPM-508 POPCORN POPPER

The instructions say make sure kettle motor is plugged in. Turn unit ON with switch on crown of machine. Allow unit to run for 3-5 minutes to heat up kettle. Turn unit off. Add 2 teaspoons of your favorite popcorn cooking oil to the kettle. Then add 1/4 cup of popcorn kernels to the kettle. Turn the unit on and close the door. When popping sound slows down turn the unit OFF. Flip the kettle over with the crank handle to empty the kettle. Repeat process until desired amount of popcorn has been popped.

The popcorn gets stuck in the kettle until it burns

I have a Popcorn machine from Nostalgia too that had this problem. I cleaned it out and everything but it still had the problem of the it getting stuck. After days of analizing, I found the solution. after a while the ceiling of the popcorn machine starts to fall in, lowering the handles of where the kettle goes. making the knob that turns being lower that the one that makes it turn, causing it to get stuck, all I did is add so leverage so the kettle is once again at the same level or higher. Making it turn with greater force and not getting stuck. In other words make sure the turning mechanism is leveled and not one lower than the other. preferably the kettle part being higher.

Ccp-509 popcorn kettle stop spinning when popcorn begins to pop. It won't pop out of the kettle.

Normally that is caused by too many kernels used. It pops too fast and jams up in the kettle. It could be a problem with the kettle though. Call 920-347-9122 for help with it.

Popcorn sticks to kettle

Sounds like it needs cleaning with very hot soapy water. The grease has built up on the inside of the kettle and acts like glue.

School concession popcorn machine

There are many ways that this could have caused your problem! Too much popcorn kernels put into bucket!....somthing in the bucket that is causing it too stick! (I would never put salt or any other seasoning in the maker untill popcorn has dropped) anso the heat from the maker itself can cause warping of the metal parts inside over time! I cant tell you what parts to order because i dont know the model number,But If you have all the pats somone of little skill should be able to fix it for you by bending it back into place and putting it back together and trying it! If not come back with the model # and we can help with the parts!

Popcorn jamming in kettle

The only real solution is to put less kernels in kettle - it pops so fast that it jams up and burns. Adding a little more oil usually helps as well.

Popcorn maker

When Popper Has Popped Corn Just Before.
1. Pour the properly measure amount of Oil into the kettle.
2. Wait about 45 seconds - or until the Oil in the kettle starts to smoke slightly.
3. Pour the contents of the properly measured corn cup (kernels plus popcorn salt or Flavacol) into the kettle.
4. Wait about 2 1/2 minutes. If you are using a pan on the stove without an agitator, you must constantly shake gently. When the crackling noise of the popping corn is no longer heard, dump the kettle and empty it completely.
5. Repeat if needed for more popcorn.
6. When you are finished popping, turn off the kettle agitator switch (if you have one) and turn off the Pilot light/ heat switch.
7. After the machine has cooled enough so as not to be dangerously hot, wipe the outside of the kettle with a soft damp cloth. This helps prevent a heavy build-up of the Oil.

TIPS
- Bagged floss keeps a day or two, depending on the humidity
- Use bags to make and display cotton candy in advance - use cones for immediate sales
- Unless you're experienced, it's best to turn off the motor to refill the spinner head
- If machine will be used more than 20ft. from power source, be sure to have an adequate extension cord
