Cadillac 2006 SRX XM Radio will not activate

Bought car from a friend, XM working great--factory radio. When their XM subscription ran out, we contacted XM and opened our own account- paid with our credit card--in good standing. Have called XM tech several times and they have tried everything and believe the problem is our radio--but it worked up until the time the previous owners' subscription ran out.

Channel 1 Preview is loud and clear and so is the Emergency Alt. channel.

XM has refreshed and de-activated and re-activated our signal at least 10 times over the past few weeks with no luck.

Any ideas?

Get your subscription refunded. There is nothing wrong with your radio. if they can't make it work, don't pay them.

Can you take radio out of one cadillac srx and install in different seria number srx

the radio anti theft comes into play when you disconnect the power supply for the radio. If you want to put it back into the vehicle you took it out of you will still have to enter the anti theft code to get it to work. The anti theft works for the radio and not the vehicles.

I go to start my cadillac srx 2006 v8 and my radio will not come on at all. It was working just fine when I turned the car off. I wonder what happened?

HOPEFULLY THE RADIO WENT ASLEEP DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FOR AN HOUR AND TRY AGAIN GOOD LUCK

It says cd error and my CDs are stuck, tried disconnect the battery, did not work.i have a 2006 Cadillac srx.whats the next step, please help

remove the radio take it apart and try to clear the cds ,if you can achieve this then all well and good if not fit a aftermarket radio

I have a 2011 Honda Pilot. When I push the XM button it won't even change over to the XM radio. It is like there is no XM capability in my car. What can I do?

Often times you'll need an aftermarket integration kit to get an XM ready car radio to work. This is a two part system including the tuner to tie the subscription to and a translator to code it so the radio face will understand and display the information accurately. I can't find an xm station in the 2006 impala LS that I bought, but onstar ran the vin number of the vehicle and its telling me that's the radio is xm ready

Try www.xmradio.com This is where you can get info on activating your XM radio. It will cost you about $13 a month and an activation fee. You will need the radio's ID number. If you already know this and dont have the owners manual, stop by a dealer to get it going.

Xm radio not picking up signal only getting preview channel and channel 247

You need to contact XM and have them activate the signal. If you have a subscription you can sign on at www.xmradio.com . There are instructions on activating online or contacting XM. You will need the serial number on the XM chip for activation.

What components do I need to activate the XM radio, Scion 2009?

The radio has a code. If you have the car's manual it will tell you how to display the code on the radio screen. Subscribe to xm and give them the radio code, and that is it. Helpful Hint : If you just want music and news and not all the other programs . XM has a 9.99 per month subscription, they won;t tell you unless you ask.. Good luck
