VHS VCR is stuck in 'AU' mode

I have an FVH-2509 (I know, get a new one already). I am having trouble programming it through my remote so I can get all my cable channels. I have Time Warner Cable service. There is an 'AU' on the display and I can't seem to get it back to the channel selector mode. It was working previously. Any idea? -Jesse

How do you set the time? I have lost the remote..

Some VCR's when switched on and set to a tv station will set the clock automatically.
Otherwise you will need to get a remote for the model or a universal one.

Solved my problem by reading a previous post about taking apart the remote and cleaning the contacts. Believe it or not it the remote is working again.

Fisher VCR FVH 2509 VCR won't power on

One of the buttons in front - or the power button itself - may be stuck. Try pushing, tapping, and gently pulling each of them.

Good luck !

How do i program remote to work tv?

There may be a combination of keys to press to get it into programming mode. This isn't consistent from remote to remote, probably not even if brand is the same. I'd suggest going to the manufacturer's website, and see if they have the manual posted there, for either viewing or printing. Beyond this, your guess is as good as mine.
