I have the Ver6.0 solution Disk and the ver. 1.0 solution disk I also have the software Instruction manual. Is there someplace I can just download or print out a user Manual. Just had my 1st Grand Child I have the tape I have a 2 GIG SD but am not sure if there is a quick start user manual that I can print out so I have an idea what I am doing now have not used the Camcoder in years its a Cannon Optura 20 Digital Camcorder and I am Clueless I have it charging as I type this but am missing presious moments right ow and am using my Cannon 870 IS in the mean time. can anybody HELPPPP thanks

If it is a Canon, just visit the Canon website and goto support. There ask (or look) for the software. You can download most software for free on the Canon site, if it is to be used with their camera's or printers.
Hi, there! I don't know what software you want to install back to your computer. Just let me know more details then I may help you out. If you have the software disk then just put it in your computer and follow the instruction. If you don't have the disk, you can download it from internet, select Save button and Click Run after download. You will need the install disk to have your copier, scanner, etc to work properly\ You can contact the manufacturer for the installation disk or re install using the disk provided with the unit. this should restore the scanner operation if you have lost that function. 2. check the user's manual for specific instruction on the scanner usage.
In a lot of cases, when you fire up your pc with the camera plugged in, the pc will say found new hardware. Just let it run. When it is done, go to my computer and your pc will gain another drive. This drive is youor camera. Use programs on your pc to process pictures.
From your description this sounds like normal functioning unless I am missing something. When the unit is connected with the USB cable to a computer, it will appear as a storage device (i.e. disk drive) to the computer. I.e. Open 'My computer' and you should see it in the list of devices as another disk drive such as E: or F: or whatever the next available drive letter is on your computer. Now open the drive letter and you will see the files in the NUVI. On mine I see the user's manual as a .pdf (Adobe) file. I don't have explanantions of what the other files contain, but I believe in the user's manual there are explanations for at least some of the files. One or more contain user data and this gives you a way to back up this information so that if you perform a software upgrade that erases all this data, you can re-load it into the Garmin when you are done with the upgrade. You can copy any of these files to your computer by doing a typical file copy operation. I would be careful not to delete any files unless you know what you are doing. I believe deleting some files may cause the Garmin to stop operating, but I'm not sure.
